It seems like Dana gave him a lifetime belt and all future fights will only be for the interim belt.

It's a joke.

FW has finally moved on and soon the LW division can return to some kind of normalcy.

Sherdog claims to recognize Tony as the REAL champion so it shouldn't matter, right?

Shit, Nevermind Conor.

I'm still pissed GSP held the belt for what? 9 days before finally vacating it.

McG runs the UFC: uncle dana and WME are his employees, and there's nothing we can do since he's the money draw.

The year is 2040, Conor hasn't announced that he's officially retired despite not having competed for 24 years. The interim belt is on it's near 50th defense and Dana White has yet to strip the undisputed belt saying it's not fair to Conor because he's still active. "Active" in that he's still walking around and breathing.

The year is 2060, Conor McGregor has just recently passed away after a freak whip-it accident, exploding half his face. Dana announces that all complaints about stripping Conor are an insult to the champion so soon after his death. The UFC is expected to promote the interim champion after a brief 2 year time of mourning.
