Is Conor McGregor the greatest finisher of all time?

Hes from a bloodline of Mcgregor warriors even though his dad was a taxi driver

The problem is he hasnt faught many wrestlers ..

But yeah id say thats almost 100 percent finish rate atleast 95. Pretyy remarkable 21 fights 18 kos 1nsub 19 wins 19 finishes 2 submision losses says his weakness.

But yea could be why hes so popular somones getting ko or hes getting submitted.. Always gonna be a great fight.

Carwin, Condit, Ortega, weidman, Romero, dillashaw, Fedor, ect list goes on for days

He made Alvarez look like a total rookie. That fight counts as two finishes.

Yeah? Then how many finishes does this fight count as?

Silva vs griffin
Silva vs belfort
Silva vs Franklin
Silva vs Franklin 2

He has a good record and finishing ability. However, let's not forget that those first 15 were against absolute bums.

And that's without including Brimage and Siver as bums.

Todd Duffee and Ronda have both never had a fight go to the judges

Conor is probably top 5 for finishes though, Holloway was his first full 15 minutes and since then only Nate rematch was a decision

I like Conor and there are aspects to his striking that are more advanced than 99% of MMA practitioners. But he's not the greatest ever in MMA at anything except self-promotion and maybe being charismatic. Excellent fighter, top notch MMA striker, but no there are better finishers in MMA. 2 fights in a row he had Diaz hurt, dropped or wobbly and didn't have the skillset to engage on the mat to put it away. Hard to call him the best finisher under those circumstances.

More like 90.5%.

Oleynik: 57 wins 53 finishes.

After his loss to Chonan, Anderson Silva went on a streak of 20 fights with the only two decisions being against Leites who flopped on his ass every time he was touched and Maia who is just the most unwatchable person in the world in title fights. Not only was this streak mostly in title fights and a few times in a higher weight division, but the variety of finishes was truly astonishing as well. He finished people with knees to the head, knees to the body, punches, elbows (and a reverse elbow), chokes, armbar, and a front kick. I doubt that this sport will ever see anything comparable to that run.

There's a reason Carlos Condit is nicknamed the Natural Born Killer. 28 finishes in 30 wins - 15 KOs and 13 submissions.

EDIT: Matt Brown is also 19/21 with 13 KOs and 6 submissions. Joe Lauzon is 25/27 with 7 KOs and 18 submissions. It's not hard to find people like this if you actually pay attention to MMA.
Thank you. Surprised this wasn’t the first response. Condit and Lauzon are animals when they smell blood.

21 wins. 18 knockouts. 1 submission. Name another high level fighter with as high a finish rate as that.

All those posts and still doesn't understand the difference between a KO and a TKO.
