Both front runners in fights. Gameplan is hurt early and often and get out of there as quick possible.

Both devastating Strikers.

Most likely method of win is KO/TKO
Rumble - 16 KO/TKO in 22 wins
McGregor - 21 KO/TKO in 25 wins (damn that's impressive)

Strategy against them is to make them grapple, drag them into deep waters and drown them.

Most likely method of defeat is via submission.
Rumble - 5
McGregor - 4

Huge weight cutters at one point in they career.

(I dare say both look for ways out after gassing to exhaustion?)

Thoughts Sherverse?

Do you see Conor being able to defend all takedowns from a wrestler of Phil Davis' caliber?

Yeah you could draw some comparisons. The only difference really would be that Conor was more of a precision striker who would stop guys with multiple bunches where as Rumble had that 1 shot touch of death. Rumble also had better TDD.

Stylistcally Crumble was a much better wrestler.

But Conor came back after getting worked basically the whole fight to TKOing Chad.

he pulled out a very close, blood and guts war against a Diaz bro who was bigger and at 170lbs in a 5 rounder. He caught 2nd wind in that fight when it looked like he was done. Something Crumble never does. He also won the 3rd against Khabib something no other opponent has come back to being close to as competitive as the 3rd was after a 10-8 from Khabib. He tore his ACL against Max (who was also injured) and compeltely changed his gameplan to win the fight on the fly

Has Crumble EVER comeback down to win a fight? I dont like Conor but hes at least shown heart in some fights. Crumble folds IMMEDIATELY at the first sign of adversity. Ever since he was killing his body trying to make weight at WW to his LHW days. all his losses are by the same fucking choke lmao. Conor has mental strength issues but nowhere near Crumble's level

Of course not.

But for what it's worth Eddie said the plan was get in, get him on the ground and tap him. To make a long story short Conor beat the piss out of him.

Rumble was a natural WW too wasn't he so he was always against bigger men when he went up to MW, LHW and HW.

Of course not.

eddie isnt a great mma wrestler

No I've never seen Rumble come from behind to win.

It's eitherr he knocks his opponents clean out or he cruises to a decision because his opponent doesn't want to get KTFO.

Well they both seem to lose mostly by sub.
AJ is 83% (5 by sub one KO loss) and Conor is 100% (4losses).
Also the Irish are the blacks of Europe (according to the movie The Commitments)

Of course not.

1. Eddie is not close to Phil's level in MMA wrestling.

2. Eddie fought completely without gameplan against McGregor, who got in his head big time. He tried takedowns only after being rocked and beaten.

Rumble wouldnt have got past diaz the 2nd time. Conor may or may not be a frontrunner but if he is,hes one of the best there ever was,and one of the best counterfighters weve seen. That 1st rd w khabib took all his sharpness away tho.

Rumble pretty much walked thru the division other than cormier, it's too bad we never saw him against Jones

Both are easy to brake and quit fast when see troubles, so yes
