It can be a disadvantage on the streets too, if you're fighting someone who knows how to counter strike.
Street fights are short, intense, usually on concrete surfaces, and are 100x more dangerous than any MMA fight. No ref to save you, opponent could have weapons, backup, etc.

street fighters are almost always untrained in fighting skills, usually just angry meatheads who lift weights. its unlikely youre going to meet a counter-striker. Trained fighters would avoid these silly confrontations at all costs.

So yeah, you could meet a cool collected counter-striker. But its unlikely a confrontation would escalate with them to begin with, given the risks involved. I'd still say an angry person holds an advantage in such circumstances

Depends on the fighter and the fight. Some fighters get better when they're angry, some get worse.

CONTROLLED INSANITY

thats what coaches teach you in any hard contact sport (combat sports, hockey, american football etc.)

you need to be calm and calculating until you go for a tackle/punch/takedown, then you have to summon all the rage you can muster and put every cell in your body into hulk smash mode.

you dont get rampage powerbombs or hendo/bisping ko's without putting your anger into it

Depends on the fighter. Some people fight better angry and have amazing instincts regardless, and some people lose all sense of focus and get destroyed when angry.

Cody went into the fight with Dom emotional and came out with an impressive victory, TJ went into the fight with Dom emotional and swung at air all night.
