Is 225 worth the money to see it live?

Yes. It is Chicago, which despite the bad press is a pretty awesome city.

Is Chicago known as a bad city? I thought it was great. Gino's East deep dish pizza, great art. Everything closes to damn early though.

Your view at home will be significantly better no matter where you sit

Well yes and no.

I went to watch a boxing world title once in crappy seats a long way back but when the main event was over there was still one more fight to go and everyone left so we jumped down from the balcony and went to the 2nd row and watched it from there and that was a pretty good view.

But 2nd row tickets for a main event aren't really available or a realistic option.

Live UFC events are shit. The fans are retards, you have to navigate through said retards just to take a piss or get a beer, the time between fights drags on and unless you're close to the cage, the view is trash and you spend most of the time watching the big screen.

Home is 10,000x better. You have your own couch. Your own beer. And when the WMMA fight comes on, you can switch to porn.

Boxing and MMA are different though. In MMA if you're second row, there's moments where if the fight hits the ground you can't see. You're also constantly looking through chainlink and might have a cameraman in front of you. At home you're at least 'in' the cage.

Boxing or Professional Wrestling live views are awesome. MMA not so much, but I still attend at least one a year.

With all the injuries nowadays, I'd never buy tickets for a live event to be honest. Just not worth the risk of the card falling apart beforehand.

If you don’t get the tics and go you’ll be kicking urself in the arse later, besides it being an uncommonly staked card even for a PPV.

I would never pay view a huge
Screen. Go to the workouts ect. and just buy or stream the card.

I'm of the opinion that the smaller cards with cheaper tickets are the most worth it to go to live. Just for the experience. And you're more invested in each fight because you're there.

If I'm watching a stacked card I want to be sitting on the couch in front of a big screen TV seeing everything in HD.

The experience is awesome. But to shell out $350 a ticket, I would need a better card AND the awesome experience

Yes because you can't see that great from anywhere that is why they have big ass TV screens and the commentary has monitors and they are right beside the cage. The energy in the building is a rush in itself but as far as watching it and wanting to see everything it is best to watch it at home but the experience is awesome . I went to my first pro fight in 2003 then Luke vs Philippou in Atlanta. I doubt I would ever go again just because i like watching the fights and their is a lot of drunk idiots at fights and I don't drink so I can't stand a fucking drunk person.

But if you go live you may bump into....

He’ll yeah it’s worth it!. I live in Indiana and go to every Chicago event. I payed $265 to be mid level. You better get on it for tickets cuz they are going quick. To me it’s always worth it. I’m going on my 14th or 15th event total between UFC and Bellator. It’ll be my first PPV. You gotta go!

Sounds like you're looking for a Suck buddy.

I live in Chicago and can't remember a PPV card ever here. Looks like a solid card top to bottom as even the Prelims are stocked with big names. But no real fight that I just know will be great other than Yoel - Knuckles II. Only place I will sit is lower level about 15 rows up even with the cage but fuck they want 350 a piece for those on ticket sites right now. I don't mind paying 700 for 2 seats once in a blue moon - just don't want to go an get a night of boring decisions either. Anyone think the card is going to be worth the money to get decent seats an see the event?

Bobby-Yoel
RDA-Colby
Holly-Meagan Anderson
Punk - ???
Reem-Blaydes

4 pre lims with big names (all be it most past primes).

The mezz prices are a touch lower but not much anywhere close to even with the cage is still right around 300 a ticket. I will just watch on TV rather than go an have a shitty view.

anyone think this card might be worth the pony up to see a ppv in person in your home town? On fence right now

if u live here there and are a fight fan sure have a blast

Chicago is cool. Great food but something about it I just don't care for. Maybe it's just he size or traffic or what not but I never look forward to going there. I go every year cause my brother lives there though

I've only been there for three days and didn't do any driving outside of arriving and leaving, so maybe a different experience. I liked it though.

What more of a card u want? UfC 100? this is most stacked UFC card since MSG maybe more so to to bottom.

You never know what the card really will be until fight week is over lol card is probably gonna suspiciously end up being Covington vs RDA main event with Reem vs Blaydes co main. Don't get your hopes up if you buy tickets that's for damn sure, been a bad year for mma.

Watching MMA live is just a different experience. You feel the impact of the fight a lot more. It's a lot more brutal in real life.

I'd definitely go if I was you. You have the money, it's a great card, it's your town so you don't have to book plane tickets and so on. We've never had an event here so I've had to fly to the UK and Sweden a few times. Just go dude! The atmosphere is awesome most of the time, and it's an experience you'll remember no matter if it's mediocre or amazing.

Btw, I always try to get seats where you are. That's the best place. Close enough to see, but far enough up so your sight is not obscured and you dont have to look up (less so to look at the screens as well).

To see CM Punk get beat down by a photographer, hell yeah it is.
