Being American I am ashamed at how much we suck. I consider myself a smart man, I graduated with honors. Got my Associates degree in Accounting and feel like I am picking up the slack for many mentally Challenged Americans. If we had many more like me Americans and less Kardishians then America would be a nation filled with geniuses.

Yea we dont value education or health or anything like that and so that is what the people reflect . You try to give people healthcare or more education or even vacation time to unwind a bit and do something besides work and everyone yells about communism and socialism . Its weird as hell and even with all the morons running around theres still no where better to be

Seems like the US's current trajectory....

America used to have standards.

Not anymore.

It's not that people don't want those things. .. it's that they know government ruins everything they touch.

We have to have one. You know it and I know it so instead of these bullshit lines about how government is bad lets actually try to vote for ones with plans other than lets destroy this fucker and privatize everything. that line of thinking for the past 60 years is exactly why government ruins everything.

Big corporations that run the show want you to feel this way because then you wont do anything that harms the bottom line for fear of what might happen next.

We can see for example looking around the world that government can do wonderful things when it comes to healthcare and education but in america for some reason we act like it isnt possible .

Im with the government and im here to help ..... Right dude ?

I don't know. From years of lurking in Mayberry, not saying the people here represents the entire USA, but the below is what I observed.

The only things Americans are good at are:
Claiming USA is the best country with ZERO doubts.
Winning all the recorded wars.
Nuking other countries is an option/okay since USA is the best and always correct.
MURICA!

The US is doomed because intelligent people either aren't having children or limit the number of children to one or two because they know the world is overpopulated.

Less intelligent people have litters of children and the chance of them being more intelligent than their parents is slim.

The problem with this thinking is that it solves nothing. It's basically saying 'why bother trying'....which is a terrible mindset to have when we're talking about Health care and education.
When it comes to health and education, if your choices are big business or government, it has to be government. Health and education can't be about profit. You can't have those 2 systems run by people who are trying to simply maximize profits.
It is straight up bizarre to me how people can be against this. The healthier and more educated your populace is, the greater your country will be.

It's thanks to the growth of the entitlement mentality. The more you can depend on the government (i.e., other members of society who produce) the less you have to do yourself.

I agree with the first part, but am curious why so many Americans seem to believe the bolded. I imagine most just haven't been outside the country.
USA can be a great place to live. It does some things really good, but plenty of others kind of shitty.
The world is a big place. There are plenty of other countries out in the world that are fabulous to live in. And the US could learn some lessons about how to improve their self if it didn't already think it was perfect.

I think the main problem are republicans to be honest. These idiots dont believe in science, you tell them global warming is real and these asshats say its fake news. They live in trailer parks. They drink mountain dew, dont brush their teeth and resort to bankruptcy ala Trump to not cover their debt. I could go on but I am sure you dont have all day.

Then go out and do something about it instead of whining here. The reason that X sucks is because people bitch about X and don't do shit about X besides cry.

That sounds a lot like a broad, sweeping generalization. There are sympathizers of both parties that are lacking different degrees of education. Neither party has a monopoly on that. The problem is definitely the entitlement crew. The more people can depend on the government, the more they can survive to reproduce and continue their DNA in the gene pool. "Survival of the fittest" is negated.

You can own a gun
you can smoke a bong on your porch
you can say what you want to say and fly any flag you want
you can own a tiger

Basically there isnt that great of a safety net but you can do whatever you please as long as you can afford it

That's not a very fair take.
One of the big problems this generation has is that they're expected to work harder and longer for less. A college degree, the one you were told from elementary school you must get to succeed in this life, doesn't take you as far as it used to, and it costs a shit ton more. Underemployment, saddled with massive debt , and rising prices of basics like health, education, and housing are going to make people feel "entitled" to some shit.

Not to say that there aren't some legitimately lazy brats out there that don't actually want to earn their way, but the millennials get a lot of shit for something that isn't all their fault
