Infowars And Alex Jones Banned On Multiple Online Platforms

Do you know there are topics this forum will not allow?

Things they silence (lol) on this platform.

Is that ok or should sherdog have to allow every voice to have equal access to the forums?

Did you know Twitter takes government tax payer money?
That puts them into the realm of free speech. Does Sherdog take government funds?

The govt funds thing has been addressed up thread by myself and others and is BS the way you guys are trying to classify it

Address it again then. And we'll see if it makes actual sense.

You cannot be a private company that is government funded.

Seriously :(

I wouldnt consider myself "his base"
But even as a person who finds him entertaining, I dont consider myself a wack job either. Help me to understand

Edit: to be fair, I'm not ruling out that i am indeed a wack job. I can be convinced if this. I like to be open minded.

Twitter hosted beheading videos and people being burned to death by ISIS.

They're one of the biggest sources of child pornography on the Internet.

But Alex Jones conspiracies are too far?

No? I guess my memory is fucked, because that's where I saw those videos.

ISIS uses one time accounts which are banned. Banning the promotion of terrorist groups and actions was actually the first policy crackdown at Twitter back in 2015. Since then they've banned over 1.2 million accounts under the policy.

This is such bullshit. Those accounts definitely still exist. They're shadow accounts that I could point you to.

There's these and worse. I'll post the links once I'm done with my account here.

What hate speech did Alex Jones spread? I have a standing 100 offer if anyone can find one case of Alex spreading hate speech anywhere on these platforms. Hate speech is a call to action for violence, and he never did that.

If you watch too much MSM, you will think he spreads hate speech and harassed Sandy Hook families. This whole thing is very complex and very political, it it is best to remember that MSM hoaxed three events that led to wars and caused the deaths of millions, so who is the real enemy-the guy that points out the criminals or the criminals?
I don't agree with the way Alex Jones was banned from all platforms suddenly, but there's not doubt that they have a case for doing so. I just wish there was a proper procedure. The hard part about getting someone convicted for hate speech is that you have to be able show malicious intent, and Jones is generally good at walking the line just enough that he has plausable deniability. Deformation is a bit easier, which I believe is what he is being sued for as well. After the gets convicted in court for the Sandy Hook case then it would be a more reasoned move.

About inciting violence, I mean, imagine if you took this seriously. Some people do:

Also, in regards to Sandy Hook and the claims that Alex is making that he didn't say it was fake, you just have too look at what he's said:

Pretty straight forward.

And just for the luls, his whole demon schtick (his proof that Obama and Hillary were demons was that a fly once sat on their faces for a second):

I find him hilarious at times, but also EXTREMELY dangerous if people take him seriously. Just like Glenn Beck was.

Imagine being so scared of what Alex Jones had to say that you remove him off this many platforms.

They do not want YOU as an individual to listen to who YOU want to listen to.
Yes, you can still watch Hamas videos, can still find Louis Farrakhan and "godhatesfags" online, but Mr Jones has essentially been 'vaporized'

Alex Jones got a little bit too big, it seems.

Shout out to all of you who are happy about this... The world runs in a cycle.
You will not always be on the "right" side.
You deserve your communist dictator future.

For the record I don't watch Alex Jones
Although his public access show back in 96 was hilarious.
Black helicopters, militarized police, fingerprints for driver liscense, CIA operations. World government. That was shtick back then.

What's even funnier is you left-wingers would have loved him.

Here's an oldie of him busting George Bush's balls.

Alex Jones is a simpleton, a liar, a bully and a conman. Some years ago the Opie & Anthony show called him one morning waking him in bed. He spoke with an accent not anything like what we're used to hearing him until his then wife came in to the room and told him he's live on air, he then became "Alex Jones" and went on a rant about the new world order.

In his child custody battle he told the court that his show is all an "act", that it is him (not grieving Sandy Hook parents) who's the 'crisis actor' - Now he's supposedly some free speech martyr? Grow up and fight for the rights of a worthy cause.

It kind of has everything to do with it, yeah?
9/11 was used to lie us into a war we're still in.
A war that has killed over 1,000,000 people and cost 6,000,000,000,000 dollars.
A war that was desired by many of the higher ups in the Bush Administration (PNAC).
That is much more egregious than what transpired on 9/11.
In light of that, why is questioning the narrative of 9/11 a reason to mock people?
This is a great example of what a shitty poster you are when something goes against one of your various pet causes. The "narrative" of 9/11. LOL. You just can't help yourself. Find the Troof, brah.

The politics surrounding 9/11 do not have a fucking thing to do with jet fuel and steel beams, and the dozens of absurd conthpirathy theories about cartoon physics and inside jobs that are all complete garbage.

Another good reason Twitter was right for disassociating itself from Jones, too.

With respect to the wide bannings, I don't see how this is much different from a bunch of bar owners on a strip all 86ing a guy because he's causing problems up and down the strip. It even features the one bar owner (Twitter) who was gonna let him keep coming back, but soon realized it wasn't worth it.

A very unhelpful precedent is being set here.

Did any of these platforms ever cite exactly what he said that led to the bans? If it was regarding the Sandy Hook thing they're almost half a decade late...

Unfortunately unlike a drunk on the strip this guy will gain more popularity and influence because of this ban. He seems looney tunes to me but this ban has the potential to legitimize his crazy conspiracies no?
