To all Sage and Pico Lovers.

You have it in you or not, despite the genetics.

You can't teach the grit of a Jon Jones, Rowbie Lawler, Michael Chandler, Junior dos Santos and many more.

Sage and Pico are C level athletes at best.

A level athletes don't get their brains bashed in for peanuts.

Sage, and Pico are young pups thrust to the top in a flash. Don't count em out for losing. They are in mma

If Chael Sonnen can win fights - MMA doesn't have A class athletes.

A borderline retarded NFL washout just KO'd the HW GOAT.

Lol at calling sage A- level

Jones is the closest we have to A level. Hes the runt of the litter of 2 NFL brothers, both with superbowl rings

You are 100% correct TS. Being an A level athlete is no guarantee of success in MMA or any fight sport.

That said NOT being an A level athlete is also no guarantee of success in MMA.

What we CAN SAY FOR FACT is that the quality you describe that make for great MMA fighters, "grit" along with many other qualities needed for high level success in any sport exist in much higher percentages in A level athletes as opposed to everyone else.

So if you have 100 A level athletes who come to MMA and train similarly to 100 non A level athletes you can expect the A level athletes to adapt better, be better and dominate the top ranks over all.

NO ONE should dispute that.

Sigh sherdog where only the nfl has great atheltes and stamina or endurance etc mean zilch

I forgot Pico is forced into retirement now since he lost his debut fight.

No other sport tests peoples chins, heart or fighting instinct like... You guessed it, fighting.

People who don't understand this are never going to be convinced by any form of logic so just don't bother.

I'm trying to find the point to this shitty thread and just can't.

I'll just repeat my prior post.

3 out of 4 of those guys you named are considered among the best athletes in the sport. And Robbie didn't become champion until he moved his camp to ATT, a camp known for it's strength and conditioning program.

Athletics is a huge thing in MMA. Guys like Francis Ngannou are getting by on athleticism alone atm.
