Immigrants voting against the native population = Audacious?

What would you have proposed as a solution? Im legitimately curious.

You do realize that nonresidents cant vote, right?

It's too late now. Nothing can be done than just to accept it.

In this thread, people high fiving each other as if they won something. I'm not trying to "win or lose" an argument. I'm just trying to get to the truth.

The truth is, the population of California has been replaced. Same is happening in England, Canada and many other western countries.

Against the democratic will of the people that lived there. Often replaced by people that reliably vote left.

But, yeah, in answer to your question, it's too late to "do" anything.

So, you have decided to leave your country (Mexico) and move to another country (the USA) in search of a better life. But, then you vote against the wishes of the native population.

The vast majority of non-hispanic white people voted for Republican and for Trump, yet the vast majority of hispanic people vote for Democrats. Does anyone else not find this absolutely audacious? and cheeky??

Why would you leave your country and move to another, only to want to change it against the wishes of the native population??

I am from England, I am an immigrant and I live in Japan now. I love Japan and don't want it to change ... I would literally vote for the conservative party here (if I was eligible). I came here because I love this country.

I don't understand at all why you would migrate to a country and want to change it to your way. I find it downright f**king audacious. I see these minority students burning effergies of Trump and protesting Trump, I just think they should just f**k off, frankly.

It would be like me migrating to Japan and demanding that they change for me and I start protesting their traditions and political system ... it would make me an asshole ... yet, all of these minority leftists in the UK/USA seem to get away with it.

I think a lot of countries in the west are sewing the seeds for civil strife with their open immigration policy. Not all immigrants, but the majority that vote against the wishes of the natives.

The phenomena of minority immigrants voting against the native population ... I just find it pretty audacious.

Or maybe they find the concept of finding white people as 'native' rather than the actual natives hilarious.

you know nothing about the US, except for whatever you hear & see from news outlets.

you have countless Americans telling you how it is here, yet you still choose to deny us because we don't align ourselves with your ignorance & prejudices.

A vote shouldn't be a binary 1 point vs 0 point thing.

It should be a system where votes are weighted based on many things such as:

- stake in the country (such as ownership of land, owning a business, having children that are citizens of that country, holding bonds, etc.)
- knowledge of basic politics/economics/statistics, maybe some sort of test to administer along each vote
- if you net pay tax to the government, if you pay more to the government shouldn't you get more of a say where your money goes?

I.e., if you own land you get 5 points, if you score 80% on the test you get 4 points, if you pay a bit more tax than not you get 3 points, in total your vote nets 12 points, which gets added to whatever you are voting for (ideally it would be legislation and not somebody to represent you).

That would be the perfect voting system, appealing to quality over quantity.

This would be great.

Ownership stake would then also determine how much of the Federal Tax burden you owe.

Guess if Trump wants a war, Bill Gates, Sam Walton and bootlickers like yourself will be humping the ruck.

I think it's tribalism. They get in, they want more of their people in. It's always the same story, an Afghan gets in, he wants to make your country into mini Afghanistan. They never think "Oh, my culture is deeply unsuccessful, I should conform to this society that has found the right formula," they just never do, even though they should.

THANK YOU

I was waiting for someone to mention this. It’s like a big elephant in the room that no one has the guts to talk about.

LOL. You have huge problems with Italians establishing NJ? Jewish communities in NY? The Pennsylvania Dutch? Mormons? The Amish?

Ya. It's tribalism. But you guys only have a problem with it when it's brown communities. And BTW, all the above mentioned groups largely immigrated as backwards, poor individuals - which is why they established communities in the first place, ie., mutual support.

The same can be said for Israel, Syria, Germany ... literally every other single place on the planet.

Are we not allowed to comment on a place just because we don't actually live there? This your argument?

Next time I see you comment on a place outside of New York, Shall I chase you around this forum bringing up this quote?

I'm from London which has undergone a similar demographic shift, so my views have some relevance here.

& again you demonstrate your stupidity.

the difference is you presume to know of & know more about the history, politics & atmosphere of my homeland - more than her own citizens.

are you retarded?

Appeal to ridicule. That's your argument.

Being a citizen of the USA does not equal better knowledge. I have lived in the USA for ~5 years and I know more about the country than many of its citizens, I knew more about the country back when I lived in Canada as well.

Most people are surprisingly ignorant, and not just in the USA of course, I would expect any intelligent person who was honestly interested in informing himself / herself about a country to be more knowledgeable than the many citizens.

Unfortunately morons like the TS don't qualify, and u have been handling him. And while his perspective on USA racial struggles, given his foreigner/immigrant status, is painfully ironic, this just not your strongest line of attack here .

sure, but I'm just saying - there are multiple Americans all throughout this thread fact checking/correcting @Goonerview , yet he still won't listen.

as I've said before, it amazes me that he's a "teacher" yet he himself is not open to being taught. the dude has no clue about the US & its history with immigrants.

can't believe he's still here

I'm here because I'm not wrong.

All of the counter-arguments have been logical fallacies:

1. You're racist (argumentum ad hominem)
2. You haven't lived in America, so you don't know (argument from authority).
3. You're stupid (appeal to ridicule)
4. Hispanics didn't migrate there, it's just birthrates, bro! (false premise! ... as if the demographic shift in California was only birth rates, also ignorant of illegal immigrants/anchor babies).
5. Bring up his dating history! (misdirection, changing the subject)

Look at these facts:

latinos_california.jpg

Hispanics, I'm sure they are charming people, but they reliably vote LEFT. The Republican party or any kind of conservative party have a snowball's chance in hell of ever winning California again .... that or they have to turn into "The Democrats mk 2."

22k is right in the sense, I'm not American and I don't know what it's like on the ground. But, coming from London, I can tell you, London has changed so much in my lifetime, it's a completely different place. There is London ... and then there is the rest of England. Two different places. London has had a similar demographic shift. The politics reflect this.

Hillary Clinton winning would have put Hispanic migration into overdrive, as well as her plans for TPP and her "Syrian refugees", she wanted half a million refugees a year ... I wonder who they and their offspring would end up voting for??? She would have finished America as we know it.

Look, I accept what is happening, it can't be changed, Trump winning will only delay the inevitable ... but, it's like Trump's speech in Poland. I don't think the west has the will to maintain itself. I think Trump will only delay the inevitable. Demographics is destiny.

Maybe Abolish welfare, so at least the immigrants that do come, come because they love the country ... new immigrants will continually vote for more welfare ...

Agreed he is one ironic mother fucker for sure

You just can’t grasp that the whole concept that right equals good / white and left equals bad is where you have gone wrong. It is as if the labor party was never in power before London had its most recent wave of immigrants.

Socialism and leftist polices is not what made America great and rich ... historically, it makes societies sick ...

Look at post WW2 Europe, Germany went from a country turned to rubble to the richest country in the continent, whilst England was the "sick man of Europe"

Regardless, Whether right/conservatism is good or not, doesn't matter. The historical population of the USA vote right ... however are now increasingly being outvoted by new demographics.

Germany spends about 40% more of per capita GDP on social programs than the UK and has a more regulated labor market. Germany was rebuilt after WW2. The comparisons could not be any less fact based if you tried.

The historical US population has voted moderate left (more like centrist) and moderate right. Do you think non white immigrants voted in the new deal?

The whole premise of your thread is asinine and this latest turd of a post proves it.

I don't know why leftists are so mad. . . hasn't london voted overwhelmingly left, it's been diverse for a very long time. Immigrants in US vote left. What's the butthurt over?
