Just stop. Apologize to everyone for lying and back out of this thread
Rampage has admitted several times he had no bad blood with Wandy
While shit talk is sometimes funny, i watch for the fights. Before it changed, mma still had rivalries and people who didnt like other people. Ufc of today models itself after wrestling to pump up fights. All the fighters see conor get rich off trash talk and try to follow suit. . They used to still talk trash, just did the talking in the cage/ring. Its not rasslin, where more people watch just for the drama.. As the matches are crap. When wandy was fighti g rampage fof instance. . They didnt like each other at all.. And it made the fight more exciting evdn without media events.
Pretty much everyone shit talking in MMA today is trying copying Ali, Tyson or Floyd. Conor especially with his bragging about money (Floyd), calling the round and saying he is the greatest over and over (Ali) and pretending to be a mad man lose cannon (Tyson). I don't know why MMA fans are so quick to compare it to wrestling when its far more like Boxing has always been
Hell, Basketball (more 90s and early 2000s) and Football have shit loads of trash talk and drama. MMA "fans" like to pretend its a UFC and fake wrestling thing. Its not. Its a SPORTS thing
Agreed... Ita all about self promotion. Conor is great at it, like the people u mentioned. There are better fighters than conor who arent as well known.. All because of his mouth... "He uses it prettier than a 10$ whore."
A true story line and a bit of drama makes any competitive event more exciting whether a fight or a team sport. It's the fake scripted WWE nonsense that I find to be a huge turnoff.
Yeah...but we will need some tournaments....and PRIDE FC rules too
Its w/e. We need variety. A good trash talk is good once in a while but some of the greatest fights had no trash talk. Also, when you have guys who are trying too hard its just cringy. Cringington is just lame and boring.
