Do you think we'd have some real life Honky Tonk Mans or Ric Flairs, losing on purpose via DQ to keep their belts? I don't know why, but I laugh hysterically at this notion.

I would just think the fight would be ruled a no contest and they just book an instant rematch, that or a commission suspends a fighter and the company is forced to strip him or her.

Well, obviously that rule would never happen in real life. It was used as a way for wrestlers to lose but not do "the job," as well as for babyfaces to maintain their images when they wrestled for titles and came up short. I'm just laughing at the notion of there being a real-life heel wrestler searching for the DQ to retain their title.
