...how will it affect:

- MMA industry? Will MMA be respected and gain mainstream and relevance much more?

- UFC? Will UFC fighters finally get recognition they deserve? Maybe more out-of-the-ring sponsorship?

- WME-IMG? Will they close their expences and won't have to cut? Will they change their ways?

- Conor? Will he ever step to the ring/octagon again?

- Floyd?

Will be called fluke.

Will be a rematch

Will be the biggest PPV ever!

a rematch would definitely take place....the amount of money would be too big for the ufc to skip...And mcgregor would be the king of the word. He would not even think about coming back to the ufc.

But what about MMA and UFC? Will it be affected?
More recognition, more money flowing?

Beat him accidentally? Extremely botched job of touching gloves? Mayweather slips on water leaving his corner, Conor tries to catch him, but end up uppercutting him to Pluto?

That was just a figure of speech, calm your moobs.

UFC gets put over as the premier combat sport. Conor becomes the world's most famous athlete and truly transcends into the mainstream. UFC fighters can now leverage there way into higher paying contracts as well as pursue other sporting ventures outside the UFC. Think boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, Olympics, etc.

Boxing is still popular but is looked at as the inferior sport by the causal audience. The number one p4p guy in mma beating the number one p4p in boxing makes people lose interest in boxing and Floyd and everybody bandwagons into MMA.

Conor fights again for sure. But only if the UFC give him the right price. We're talking 100 million per fight if they want Conor. He'll only stick around for one or two more fights but with his new found fame he can turn these fights into cultural events. He would be a full to not capitalise on this win over Floyd.

Legacy-wise, it would be wisest for McGregor to retire after scoring the biggest victory he ever will, but money-wise, it would be foolish for him not to parlay that attention into big money bouts against Manny Pacquiao in boxing and Georges St-Pierre in MMA.

If Conor Mcgregor beats Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, the fundamental constants of quantum mechanics will be thrown out the fucking window.

a) Conor becomes the GOAT combat athlete, he will have at that point genuinely accomplished several things that no one else has.
b) MMA becomes the premier combat sport as boxing loses credibility over night.

A rematch of all rematches. Breaks all money records

This may actually be the most financially lucrative dive opportunity in sports history

And its effect on UFC/MMA?

It would be a work.
