Khabib can't leave. End of story. UFC can freeze him out for years if he refuses to fight. Good luck to Khabib!

If Bib sticks to his guns, I'm betting Conor will say he went running. I'm also betting his fanboys will believe, repeat, and post. I'm guessing that "Khabib is ducking Conor!" will be a posted about 9000 times on this site... but, it will still not be seriously believed by reasonable people. So, you're right, but AP_RESURRECTOIN isn't wrong.

    Very good point!
I wonder how the contracts address that and how likely Russia, or any other country, would be to comply with any legal document the UFC tries to enforce. I'm sure they have lawyers in all the countries they hire fighters from, but I'm curious...

If Khabib leaves the UFC he loses his status as the best lightweight in the world as soon as Ferguson fights again.

The narrative will become Khabib is afraid of Tony. Tony has the better wins.

Dana will be out there saying "We're offering Khabib fights. He doesn't want to take them". After a year he loses any goodwill he had with the broad fanbase. After two only his biggest fans will care about him.

It would impact his manager's relationship with the UFC if he tried to fight in another org while under contract. He'd likely need to leave AKA or risk being sued while in the US.

And then other people will remind them that Khabib basically made Conor his bitch for the entire fight and then made Conor motion the "Please stop, I can't take anymore, ref please make him stop, I am done" tapout

And half those wins are against Russian cans and nobodies. Hows Fedor’s win streak these days?

    Oh

Any promotion that wants to air in US, will not sign Khabib
No station will broadcast it when sued by UFC
M1 is working with UFC so that is a no

Or the UFC could stall him in limbo while having control over him over his contract. Forcing him Non-USA mma promotions who don't give a fuck about US contracts.

The UFC could easily strip him after a commission investigation.

The last guy to hit anybody after the bell in the UFC was banned for life and still hasn't been back in almost a decade.

    Well there is the reality.
Then there is the UFC trash circus and its retarded fans.

I think any smart person who has followed the sport long enough eventually gives up on the latter and recognises it for what it is.

I am not sure that this is how it works. A competing promotion/network has no contractual breach towards the UFC and hence cannot be sued by them.

If I breach my employment contract and go work for a competitor by employer will come after me, but doesn't have shit on said competitor. It happens all the time, IMO.

He won't leave, it will all be water under the bridge before long. But I admit I just imaged Fedor and Khabib in the same organisation! damn thats epic.

lol at Tony being the real champ. In what world does pulling out of your own title fight make you the 'real' champion vs a guy that crushed the previous champion?

You cats are going to be so hurt when Tony loses too.

Way more than half. Even in the UFC his best wins are against guys with no ground game like Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza, Conor McGregor, and he won the belt from short notice Iaquinta. I mean seriously, this is the resume of a guy who some of these nitwits think is the greatest thing they've ever seen.
