I think if the title goes up for grabs and GSP is out of the picture that could be the motivation Nick needs to come out of retirement and try to get the belt

At this point im almost looking forward to GSP retiring and seeing who comes out on top to get the belt...there are so many good WW fighters who could be champ on the right night

I hope so.. I hope he comes back. KO's Lawler and fights Condit for the championship (After Condit beats Hendricks)

Who has Diaz beaten that makes people think he's a world beater? He won't touch that belt.

He's pretty much saying he's only coming back for a big fight so I could see him coming back if they give him a #1 contender shot.

This. I think Shields has a better chance at getting the belt.

If GSP retires then almost any top 10 fight is a big fight for him

He had his shot twice, they're not going to hand him another one without a couple of top wins. I don't see him getting those top wins.

Beat BJ, fought an incredibly close fight vs Condit, who is essentially the #3 WW guy (behind GSP/Hendricks), and a huge streak before that. He's definitely a top 5 fighter

I don't think they'll give him the big fight so he probably will stay retired.

Depending on the match ups I think he could earn a shot.

BJ didn't have any top wins at WW at the time and is now moving to FW. He lost to Condit and haven't won against any top 10 during his streak. His best win was Daley. Tell me again why he's a top 5 fighter?

Why would he deserve to be in the picture?

Diaz is in that kind of situation that he could win just 1 fight and become like the number 2 contender

if i was diaz i would try it, the top 5 ww are not exactly the best wrestlers in exception of hendricks right now, he could get 1 or 2 win but it wont be easy

He loses to anyone in the top 5 so it doesn't matter either way.
