It might be Cormier's first real loss, at least in theory, considering his other official one was against Jon Jones, and most assume Jon was on steroids in that fight just like he was in the second one.

Also, DC's never been defeated at Heavyweight. 13-0. He's also not much older than Stipe, Stipe turns 36 a month after he fights DC. They're both in the twilight of their careers, DC only a little more.

Realistically, not much... Legacy-wise, DC has much more to gain from this.

If stipe KOs Cormier his legacy becomes undeniable. Many forget how good of a HW Cormier is. He is easily the #2 HW IMO even though he hasn't fought there in years.

Don't be fooled by weight classes. Jones, DC, and Gus would absolutely demolish the majority of the HW Top 5 and DC in particula4 has already proven it years ago.
