If Conor McGregor Is Dumb Enough To Return To MMA

All his opponents better spend their entire camps training cardiopulmonary endurance and takedown attempts, or else they will get KO'd left right and center.

The average MMA fighter has very little clue of boxing, the ultimate striking martial art, that is why they get caught by slow and looping punches.

Now, Conor has spent a whole year training boxing. So, not only has he improved on his amateur boxing foundation, but also on his cardiopulmonary endurance.

His next mma opponents will have no choice but to fight him like Demian Maia fought Woodley, or they will be put to sleep.
Yep. You're absolutely right. No one could stand toe to toe with him before when he had gas in the tank.

Now he's got way better stamina and way better stand up, even tooling up champion boxers. Going to be a bad day for any MMA opponents, they'll have to hope they can keep him down for the full 5 minutes.

If McGregor was smart he would understand that money cannot buy you happiness.

Only McGregor knows how much peace and happiness he has BUT, let's see his journey play out before we form our opinion. Mike Tyson had 10X the amount of money McGregor is getting for this fight. Where is he now?
Lost all his money but has never been happier he says....He absolutely appears happier. Not in trouble with the law.

Too be continued!

This tool thinks only McGregor training boxing.

What the fuck is this inopportune, untimely sentimental shit.

Its amazing how many likes this fgt has<{katwhu}>

Conor will be back, there's no way his ego will let him retire just yet and he's still going to make a fuck load per fight with the UFC, nothing compared to the Mayweather payday but millions of dollars per fight is nothing to scoff at.

conors boxing was already good tho. And only person who was able to beat him was nate. who actually beat him standing.

Sure, whatever...

nate took his best shots. tony is sturdy as fuck. he was spectacular versus eddie, but we don't know yet how many folks in the class can or can't take his shots. we do know, however, that nate rocked him and nate isn't known for his power. it's tough to say no matter what he's been up to.

Nate did not take his best shots.
He got ripped up in both fights.
As to Tony, he has an unfair advantage in the airbag ears that protect his whole head.

That would always be the surest route to beat him, unless you can take it like Nate. Conor's stand-up style works so well for mma, with or without the added boxing training. Has both accuracy and power.

Usually a power puncher in mma loads up, relies on it too much. Like Stephens or Carwin. Who doesn't have power point fights, throws a lot. Like Edgar or Cruz. A finesse striker relies on accuracy, like Anderson or Lyoto.

So Conor's difficult to categorize, he can go volume, finesse or power. Khabib fits as a template to beat him.

If other camps are smart, they will.
Already i think theyre stupid.

Instead of leg kicking Conor, Aldo rushes in like an idiot.
When conor panic wrestled, diaz choked him out.
Diaz virtually stood with conor and lost the rematch via decision.
Eddie, the idiot, again, stood with conor and when he was already dazed, tried to take conor down and failed. Got TKOd.
Chad mendes had conor begging the ref, while getting elbowed in the face, to allow them to stand.

There is a clear and definitive weakness in conors game, but everyone wants to stand...they dont even set up the takedown and when they do, theyre either tired or their bell has already been rung.

The bottom like is they have a shit ton of pride and feel they have something to prove.

The UFC knows that if diaz truly trained and focused on takedowns, as in working with collegiate wrestlers to augment that skill, that conors days are pretty much over.
The blueprint is there, but no one is following.
The thing is, conor is absolutely no joke when it comes to stand up in his hands. It is what it is.
So they need to stop getting knocked out and take him down.

Well shit, chad mendes could have beaten him also..but the dude gassed.
Im just shocked that no one else, from the opening bell, baits and then takes conor down.
Its like they dont believe he can knock them out.
Maybe its time for them to wake the fuck up, swallow your pride and get paid.
Take his ass down.

My problem with Khabib is that his standup is ass...its bad...maybe not artem lobov bad, but bad enough.

I dont know if it will be enough to set up a takedwon before Conor KOs him.

Conor is well aware that most his opponents want to become panic wrestlers.

Yeah but they dont use that strategy until its too late.
From the start, their strategy needs to be to take him down.
Whatever mma fighters call boxing, I don't believe is boxing, and I don't think professional boxers will call it boxing.

Most mma punchers punch with a skill set one level above an athletic bar/club fighter. If you watch mma, watch fight analysis, you are coordinated and you go to your local gym and teach yourself "boxing," then you will strike (with your hands) at the same level as the average UFC fighter.

You can teach yourself how to hand strike like Demian Maia did against Tyron Woodley, and that's the average UFC hand striker.

Come on man..it aint that bad.
if boxing is a 10, and bar fights are a 1 - 3, id give your average MMA fighter a 5.

The beautiful thing about Justin Gaejthe is that you don't need to be a great boxer to put hands on him. Stevie Wonder would probably get some shots in.

I don't believe it. MMA is too young for me to believe that the "level of boxing [I'm] referring to isn't practical in MMA."
(1) There is no such a thing as a "boxing stance." As long as you are on your feet, then you are in an acceptable stance. There is no rule that states a fighter must stand a certain way. Watch Muhammad Ali, he didn't have a "stance." He was constantly moving.

(2) Again, Muhammad Ali didn't keep his weight on his front foot. He was constantly moving. Also, the way the average MMA fighter throws the low leg kick, it is mystery to me how they don't get KO'd all the time after throwing that kick. All the opponent has to do is anticipate the kick, absorb it, and come back with a straight counter right down the centre line.

You are just following Brendan Schaub and typical hardcore MMA fan talking points. These talking points are not based on the truth. Boxing doesn't look "practical" because the average UFC fighter can't box. It is as simple as that.
U wasted your time replying lol
