If Aldo beats Max... Aldo > > Silva and GSP! It´s not opinion, It´s fact! Look at these numbers!

GOAT Rushmore
Fedor,GSP,Aldo,Silva,JJ

But

Another fuck up by Pokes he is out.

Fedor, Silva, GSP, Aldo, Jones

Fedor was a LHW who fought HW when it was at its best(by far).

Silva had 10 title defenses but its how easy he made them look. The one title fight that was actually difficult(Sonnen 1) he pulled of a triangle in the last 5-10 seconds of the fight. It was like MJ at the buzzer.

GSP is probably the most complete MMA fighter of the list. Sure some people considered him boring but the fact is he was striker who became the best MMA wrestler and used that to completely nullify most of his opponents. GSP was a professional champion. You just can't imagine GSP not having the belt.

Aldo is ahead of Jones in my opinion because 1)he deserves it and 2)Jones deserves to be put behind Aldo. Aldo was a very dominant champion and extremely well rounded. Probably the best TDD ever and a great fundamental striker that could be explosive at times. His TDD and striking was so great that to this day we have never seen his BJJ, which is supposed to be on par with the rest of his skill set. Aldo also fought his title fights(UFC/WEC) against contenders that were in their prime or at least young. Unlike Jones who fought guys like Shogun, Rampage, Rashad, Chael, and Vitor when they were beyond their prime.

In fairness to Jones, it's not like he went out and hand picked fighters that were supposedly out of their prime, aside from Vitor and Sonnen everybody else was a legit top 5 in the world at that weight when they fought. If you truly feel the need to nitpick Faber went 10-6 after Aldo, Florian was already done, Manvel is 4-5-1 after Aldo, Jung fought for the first time in nearly four years so it's hard to rate him, Hominick would lose his next three and retire.

If we wanted to go the hyperbole route Aldo's title reign is beating Mendes twice, Edgar twice, Jung, Lamas and a few guys that everybody forgot once they got their title shot.

Yep, the "Big 5" are very fucking close in terms of legacy.

Fedor, GSP, Silva, Aldo, Jones. All are amazing.

MM is about to make it six, if not already.
Where is Conor McGOAT?
lol jk btw.

Rooting for Holloway.

Conor would slaughter Aldo every-time so what does that say about Aldo.

Aldo sucked as champ. Rarely fought and fought to decision last few years anyways when he wasnt getting KTFO in 13 seconds.

Notice your "history" is all early Aldo.. Yeah he was bad ass then but time passed him by like other greats..fedor/anderson etc

happens

stop clinging to the past

Make a thread praising Aldo

Still show him getting ko'ed.

You're a jackass ts.

It is true. Actually Aldo already has a better legacy than GSP, aka the "Lance Armstrong of MMA"

The guy in the background crying was me for a second when this happened..

Then I was,, Holy shit. Conor is the real fucking deal.

Aldo deserved/s a rematch with Conor. Same as A. Silva after Wiedman, Same as St. Pierre after Serra, Cain after JDS, etc., etc...

Obviously that isn't going to happen and Aldo's detractors will forever use that loss as an argument against his potential for goat status.

Conor is a smart man...he would have lost the rematch.

Lol at the Lance Armstrong reference when Aldo ducked a random drug test and then botched another one. Mr 13 seconds legacy is nowhere near GSP's

If Aldo wins he really needs to move up. His legacy would improve even more when Frankie becomes the champ.

he wins by decision, and he got destroyed in 13 seconds so no

Over GSP and Silva I'm not sure. But 100% solidifying his spot in the top 5 GOAT's.
