If Aldo beats Max... Aldo > > Silva and GSP! It´s not opinion, It´s fact! Look at these numbers!

In WEC, Aldo had 3 successful title fights before the WEC - UFC merge. Then he had another 7 successful title fights including wins over Florian, Edgar, Korean Zombie, and a fight of the year against Mendes.

Before the Conor loss, Aldo was on a 15 fight winning streak considering only WEC - UFC. 10 sucessful title fights (or 9 successful title defenses, if you prefer).

After the devastating loss, he bounced back and became FW champ again.

That´s a total of 11 wins in 12 title fights. Plus the fact he never popped for steroids.

Now let´s compare all the goat candidates numbers of championship fights:

Aldo: Total of 12 fights. He is 11 - 1. (loss to McGregor)
Demetrious Johnson: 11 - 1 (loss to Dominick)
GSP is currently 12 - 2 (losses to Hughes and Serra)
Silva is currently 11 - 2. (2 losses to Weidman)


Bottom line is, opinions apart, the fact remains: if Aldo beats Holloway, he will have 12 wins with only 1 loss in championship fights. And that´s better than Silva and GSP.

How can you say " fact" on an "if" ? You have to base facts at the moment. Right now Aldo IS 11-1. You are counting his last fight with Edgar in there which was for an interm title. OK fair enough. If you are doing that why are you not counting the interm title of GSP vs Matt Hughes ( their third fight). Happened because Serra was injured for a long time and couldn't do the rematch with GSP at the time. You also miscalculated, with the numbers being equal of adding interm title fights and all title fights of each fighter.

Which IS better than Aldo's 11-1

You are using Aldo defeating Max to make your point. The big flaw there is GSP also has an upcoming fight too. So what if he wins that (and it's in a heavier weight class)?

The entire problem with your claim is:

Jones and GSP are still in the title running and like Aldo can add to their totals. Especially Jones who is still young for his division and can possibly add many more

Your theory is based on "IF's" . Not the here and now, miscalculations. Not at all on FACT.

Aldo is an amazing fighter ,def one of the top five of all time. He IS still going and perhaps one day his record will show he is number one. As of right now, today , he isn't based on the numbers game your are showing.

It would also help Aldo greatly if he defended his title a couple of times, moved up to 155 and fought Mac for that belt and won. Then all doubt would be put to rest by some.
 
Its so weird to say that a fighter who got kncoked out by another fighter in 13 seconds could possibly be better than that fighter but its true lmao. Aldo is a better fighter than mcgregor.

He has more title defenses.
He is more well rounded.
Has dealt with adversity better.
He has better overall striking (knees, kicks, punches, and etc...)
He has better cardio.
He has longer winning streaks.
He has better ground game.
He has better TDD.
He has better striking defense.

And all it took was mcgregorrs trash talking to make aldo fight unintelligently and emotionally; lunging himslef at mcgregor secodns into the fight falling perfectly into mcgregors left counter....

Its funny since Aldos style is perfect for mcgregor. Aldo's devestating leg kicks would destory mcgregoors very long stance. Mcgregor doesnt stand a chance against aldos world class BJJ. And Aldo can overwhelm mcgregor with kicks, knees, and muay thai combos that mcgregor has neveer faced. Not to mention that Aldo (when fighting intelligently) is pretty hard to hit and has incredible head movement and striking defense. Aldo can fight just as well into alter rounds wwhereas Connor doesnt have noteworthy cardio...

Jose got embarrassed by Conor, but that's ok. He's still P4P #2 for sure. Definitely over Silva and Fedor..

I wasn't saying it was a fluke. Matt win over gsp was not a fluke either. There are no flukes in MMA. Punches are meant to hit, when they hit they're not chancy ; that was their aim. So no, Conor win was not a fluke.

However, MMAAAM logic was that 23-3 > 11-7, following that logic, 26-2 > 23-3.

Cool story. However, Jon Jones has never lost to anyone not named cocaine.

No...not at all.
Anderson is an all time great who may have lost a step and ran into a young bull.
Dominick fought his way back through multiple injuries and ran into a young bull.
I think Cruz still might have something to prove in a rematch.
The problem for Jose is he lost badly..and it was probably a fluke...but he may never meet Mcgregor again.
 
Aldo is such a beast.

So shitty that he lost to the one guy he couldn't lost to. Imagined if he lost to Mendes, or Edgar. People would be like "Aldo is too good, things happen. He can win the rematch and get that title back."

But he lost it to fucking Conor. Don't get me wrong, Conor is also a very good fighter, but his fans fucked it up and made it look like Aldo is some shit bag. And Conor will never give him that rematch, so Aldo will just have to carry that bitter sentiment to the grave.
 
Aldo is the GOAT. He's the most skilled and has the best resume in MMA history.
