Rampage is a throwback to tough guys with decent skills. Cormier actually knows what he's doing. Cormier beats him everywhere easily.
 
Also, it was pretty obvious Cormier carried Anderson out of respect. You'd have to really hate Anderson to want to watch DC fight him for real.

Rampage had more than “decent” skills, and was athletic with huge strength and punching power, and one of the GOAT chins.

DC is the clear favorite, but Rampage would be a real threat.

I think this is total nonsense. If he could’ve finished Anderson, he would’ve.

Anderson is way too dangerous not to finish if you can.

Anderson is a feeble 75 year old with a gimpy leg. It was so obvious Cormier was carrying him. He was barely trying. It was either out of respect or Dana, but the dude clearly wasn't going 100%.

Rampage came from the Wanderlei school of closing your eyes and swinging as hard as you can. Those days are gone. They were fun, but fighters are too good for that nonsense now.

Lol, Rampage had the most over rated stand up in the history of MMA behind Ronda Rousey. The man cant bust a grape other than Silva's chin which is not that much harder to bust than a grape.

Whaaaaa? Now your either just trolling hard or you're delusional as fuck. DC wouldn't stand with Rampage. Rampage has serious KO power. Using Jones as an example is lame because Jones doesn't have the same power as Rampage.

Prime Rampage fought of Randleman and negated him the takedown. I really like DC but that would be a very tough match.

Actually for both of them this would be a hard fought victory.

Nah. DC was trying to GNP Anderson pretty hard in round 1. Anderson wasn’t too phased as DC doesn’t have the power of say a Weidman. Then DC got tired and slowed down.

He was not going easy on Anderson. He was cautious on the feet, but that’s very different than not trying 100% to finish an opponent because you are taking it easy on him.
 
DC would out-wrestle any version of him.
 
depends how late rampage was up and how many Asians rampage plowed the night before
 
I would favor DC but I don't think his wrestling advantage would be as much as many think. Prime Rampage was a strong mofo, plus he would have one hell of a puncher's chance.
 
itd be a scrap if Rampage was in his prime. But Cormier would still come out with the win with endless grinding. He will probably get stunned once or twice but he will eventually wear rampage out

Nah, he would lose a lot of motivation after being smothered with wrestled for a few rounds.

He could rock DC in the standup but as we all know DC recovers quickly.
