I like Elba, the only thing I saw him in was Luther and I was imprezzed by his performance.

I can see it -- especially if we follow the theory that Bond is the agent title and not the birth name of the character

I'd still rather see Nick Cage be the next Bond. He's old enough now and he's proven he can be exquisite in nature in the movie where he steals the declaration of independence.

I give zero fucks about Bond, haven't watched since the living daylights.

Elba gets the nod,you can bet, they'll be looking at Emma Watson to follow him.

It s certainly long overdue. We need more AA's in roles of the hero and not always as the criminals

Anything else would be racist and sexist.

But seriously, I don't care. If Elba is good, I'll say he's good and maybe see the movie. It's not a big deal.

Idris Elba as Bond doesn't bother me. He's been good in everything he's in.

    Hardy is an overrated can.

This thread keeps coming up. Does anyone remember where this rumor/theory/wish even started?

Or was it just a jimmy-rustling exercise?

I agree. Elba and Hardy can play any role they want and I'll be fine. If they want to have Hardy play Gandhi, I'm cool. Elba as Bruce Lee in a biopic? Go for it.

And Guy Ritchie needs to make Rocknrolla 2 already.

I'll stab you in your whore mouth, my good man.
