Conor is a smart guy. He doesn't believe he will beat Floyd and he knows Canelo would put him in a coma in the first round. He is just doing the same thing Floyd used to do to MMA fans. Pissing them off to get attention and sell his fights
I hope the payday is worth the lifetime of embarrassment for him getting face planted by a 40 year old Floyd Mayweather Jr. His career will boil down to being the guy that got KO'd by brittle hand Floyd.
And yet Conor fans believe he is the draw and he could make a big fight with either Canelo or GGG.
Floyd aint KOing Conor, he will just make Conor make a fool out of himself and then coast to victory like he always does.

He could make a big fight with Canelo or GGG. Wouldn't be this fight but certainly would be near Mayweather vs Canelo numbers; the uncertainty of McGregor would sell against anyone of note.

But he isn't Boxing the guys he always does. Even guys like Berto are much, much more skilled then Conor. Floyd will get the stoppage. The skill difference is just way to huge, plus Conor would never have the cardio to go 12 rounds anyway. The ref will probably stop the fight after Conor is taking too many punches and not answering back
It's a one time payday, though. Once he gets ko'd, he won't have much value in boxing. I believe his value in MMA will also drop if the ko is brutal.
Best case scenario is he gets stopped on the stool and there isn't a clip of him face planting.
So? he wont risk the small chance of getting KOd by Conor.
So he will make Conor make a fool out of himself, maybe Conor quits after he gasses around round 4.
He won't have much value if/when he loses but if happens to put up a fight, he can sell a PPV with anyone.
That fight probably wouldn't even get sanctioned.
So someone who has never fought a professional boxing match and with no large amateur boxing experience is going to step against guys who have destroyed their last opponents is going to put up a fight?
Look at one of Canelo last fight.
