Walking around on my lunch and pass a field, some guy is playing soccer with his kid or something. I approach a guy watching and start watching the watcher cause I think it's weird some guy watching another guy ... but then I was watching THAT guy

He sees me watching him and say "That's a nice thing to see on Fathers Day"

I just smiled and said yeah and moved on. I wasn't going to say "Well I never met my Dad" and be an ass, the guy was enjoying this moment with strangers and I didn't want to ruin his mood.

Doesn't really bother me tho I grew up with my Grandfather who filled in for the father role, A lot of people get less.

But I also recently found out that I'll pretty much never have children, however I was expecting that and made peace with it.

People say things to strangers all the time without thinking "That's a nice thing to see on Fathers Day" or "When are you guys having kids" - I have to remind myself that they mean no harm :)

One time I was walking badly through a parking lot and stumbled and bumped into a guy's side mirror, he was in the car ... the mirror took no damage. The guy was like "HEY WHY DON'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING" ... so I immediately was like "My Dad just died so I'm sorry I bumped slightly into your mirror!!!" and I think I messed him up. lol but he came at me hard first.

I was experiencing a little fomo this father's day morning. Having children seems to have eluded me. It's not over by any means; being a step father one day might happen. I've been a teacher for 22 years. I have been able to watch my students grow up and have children of their own.
I want to be happy for all the fathers out there. So, happy Father's day to that guy in the park, to you who didn't have the perfect father, and to all the positive father figures out there.

My gf is pregnant now so I hope to be a father next year but when people tell me happy fathers day today I feel nothing. I'm not a father yet so i dont feel comfortable with people saying it to me. The baby has to be out in order to be a father imo
