Man, that's arabic. I guess the arab masters made filipinos say thank you a lot.
Shukraan is thank you in Arabic.
It was a joke. Salamat is most likely from salam which is an arabic greeting, but i have no idea how that ended up as thank you instead of a friendly greeting.
Ts be all like
He's Murican married to a Filipina like myself (well, I'm Canadian) and others on here are Filipino, hence the obsession I guess.
What was your impression of China and what parts did you visit and how long? East side, west side?
Yeah, there's Arabic influence in the language, much like how Spanish heavily influences the language, especially Bisaya.
Then again, English is just a conglomeration of several languages that make it up.
Agreed. It's good to actually live somewhere for an extended period, like a year or more at least to really get a feel for a place so that you stay passed the euphoric stage of "visiting" to see a place for what it really is.
I think Vietnamese women are the most attractive in SEA, arguably East Asia as a whole. And also, in other countries in the region, like Cambodia, ethnic Vietnamese will be more attractive than the native population.
What would you say about Baguio? Seems like a really unique place...
Do you know any good restaurants in kl for local food? I want to go to TripAdvisor and look at pics of food porn. Lol
Having read this thread, I'm unsure why you didn't just hit up a local massage parlor instead, since it seems like you would have gotten the same experience out of it for a lot less money.
You Norwegians and Scandinavians in general are so rich it pisses me off. Australians and Kiwis, too.
If you could only go to one place, which is the best to visit?
Can you past these stories onto your fellow sherdoggers?
Its alright. Its around the northern part and basically the summer capital.
Better food is in melaka and penang, wherever the chinese population is higher. I've been living in kl for 4 years but i basically cook. I went to william's corner upon @Cool Hand Luke 's recommendation. Decent food but the portions are ginormous. No alcohol tho. And if you get the opportunity to attend a chinese wedding...it's like a frat party.
yeah, it's quite easy to find bad girls in SEA. The nice thing about that is that it keeps the good girls in line, knowing that if they piss you off too much, you can just walk down the street and find a FB. Completely different paradigm shift from the typical balance of power in the western world. Biggest problem is fighting the temptation to abuse that 'power'.
East Asians for Jungle Asian prices.
Hmmm...maybe bantayan island.
