its really not that hard to cut hair, or to remember how you cut it last time and do it the same way every time you come in.

I could understand tipping like....a chiropractor that actually makes you feel great and takes away aches and pains. But it was a nice thing to do regardless so good on you. Just not something I would ever consider doing, unless I was a millionaire.
