I just saw someone call GSP a two division title holder let's make something perfectly clear.

Jonny bones is a shit poster. He's so awful you'd think he's trolling. Which he may be but it's sad this guy does what he does for attention. He must have a shitty life.

Being a two division champion is when you win a title while already being a champion in another division

That's why everyone says Conor is the first two division champion in the UFC.

Randy Cotoure was heavyweight champion and light heavyweight champion and he isn't 2 division world champ.

It's not a real feat if you get your ass handed to you by Johnny Hendricks leave and come back 4 years later and you're gifted a title shot barely win and vacate it, its a feat if you move up to another division while still reigning as champion to IMMEDIATLY challenge for another title and win another title.

Let's make something perfectly clear.

GSP has held titles in two different weight classes.

This means the number of divisions he has held titles in is two.

This makes him, therefore, a two division title holder.

This shouldn't be confusing to anyone, two isn't a hard number to count to.

I like GSP and he is behind Fedor imo
But his mw belt is a BS.
I can take that away and he is still 2nd greatest ever to me.

And yet GSP's two division win is still more impressive

The term is ambiguous, and it is used to mean the two things depending on context and user. Sometimes it is used to mean broadly anyone who has held two titles in different weight classes at any point. In another, narrowed sense, it is used to mean anyone who holds two titles at the same time.

It's not one thing or the other. It depends on what the person means. There is no 'official definition', only divergent uses of the expression.

Immediatly? Thers no rules for defending, u can hold the belt for 1,5 yers without defending and still be champ I think.

But it still counts if you move up get your ass beat by nate Diaz then get gifted a TS.
GTFO with this fake as shit, if you win 2 titles in two weight classes you're a 2 division title holder.

Not only has he not gone up a weight class to fight for another belt, he’s also ducking tj who was going to come down to his weight.

George never would have ducked anyone that would make 170, if Anderson would have made the cut George would have fought him.

He said numerous times if he ever went to 85 he’d take the time to put on the weight and would t go back to 170 to defend the 170 belt.

Looks like what he did

Are you suggesting Conor's is somehow more legitimate than GSPs?

One guy lost in-between, one didn't.

Anderson having more title defences than Chris had fights meant fuck all and it was proven, TWICE. He would rather have fought Cung Le or Franklin for the 100th time. Get that through your head

Lol at you schooling anyone. Maybe in the nuthugging department
Not a nut hugger I just understand the sport and the business behind it. Champions pick fights that make then money. Fighting a guy np one knows that isn't a draw and is new to the sport didn't make sense. Obviously the Chris deserved the fight and became a champion at a time before testing was really implimented

You don’t understand the simple point that Anderson wanted an easier fight than Chris hence why he was calling out killers like Cung Le and Franklin.

Testing? USADA KO’d Anderson
