Johny Harvey's Hendricks

I went to his fighter profile and checked if he has a fight coming up - no. then went to wiki and read that he is retired. I remember reading about it but totally forgot about it. he was a beast in his prime. Stop with the USADA accusations. If you read his interviews he admitted that he was training like hobbyist after Matt Brown fight. Ofc that is why couldn't keep up with the elite anymore.

One last shoutout for the Bigg Rigg:

Lost his belt, his restaraunt, his hairline. Nobody has had a harder fall from grace than Johny Hendricks. RIP brother.

In his prime he was a monster. But the end of his career is forgettable. Probably why it didn't make much of a big deal when he called it quits.

Yup fully juiced Hendricks was a beast but USADA confirmed everything Georges was saying and further shows why Hendricks opted for NADA testing versus WADA testing.

A lot of his fights against top competition were pretty lackluster. His second fight against Lawler is the only time I have actually been happy about a decision going the wrong way.

Dummy couldn't keep in shape at all STOP EATING FAT ASS

Apparently he's started a new gym:

Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks has a new gig.

Hendricks has separated from an MMA gym in Texas that bares his name to start Bigg Rigg Fight Club. And while his active career inside the Octagon is over, he is still working closely within the sport.

“There are some exciting changes happening in the world of Bigg Rigg. Although I have retired from fighting in the Octagon, my involvement in MMA is far from over. We have made a decision to separate from the ‘Johny Hendricks MMA gym in Midlothian, TX so I can pursue passions that are valuable to me. From today moving forward we are no longer affiliated with that gym. The exciting news is I have started Bigg Rigg Fight Club in Midlothian, and train fighters at that facility, both in a group and private setting,” he posted on Twitter. “I am coaching wrestling at All Saints High School, where I am able to have a direct impact on young wrestlers. And last but not least, I have partnered with a decorated Green Beret to train Military, Police, and more. Our training program is designed to teach new, and reinforce sound techniques to give these men and women the tools to make it home at the end of the day.

“I thank you all for your continued support of Bigg Rigg, and would love for you to follow our progress as we train and grow."

I'm not a shrink but watching him over the last few years I couldn't help but wonder if he was suffering from depression or some other type of mental illness and I'm not trying to be funny as it's not a funny subject. He just didn't seem right or even coherent at times. Hope he's doing alright.

I'm curious to know what he weighs now that he's not competing. If he couldn't keep his weight in check as a professional fighter, i doubt he's keeping tabs on it as a professional redneck.

I feel USADA and the cutting techniques they took away really messed him up. He didn't have to worry about diet and discipline as much before stricter testing and cutting methods were removed. It broke him and made things too difficult and he gave up.

Arguably he won the fight with GSP, but in hindsight, the better fighter won that night.

He never popped so who knows why he fell off.

Others decided to retire all together to avoid USADA

Crazy, he had a 15-1 record when he faced GSP. Now his record is 18-8. Dude won 1 fight in his last 6.
To be fair, he did win the GSP, Lawler and Magny fights in many people's eyes. Gastelum fight was real close too.

Lol give Hendricks the benefit of the doubt for sucking ballsack shortly after USADA came in but Georges, who retired because they wouldn't do more advanced testing, retired 1.5 years before USADA was implemented and he's the shady one.....

Riiiight... When you have an agenda, logic is irrelevant.
