There's a difference between legal immigrants, who acquired citizenship through a legal process, and illegal immigrants, who acquired citizenship by invading another nation's borders.

The former, if they possess any common sense, usually oppose the latter. Legal migrants hoping that illegal immigrants are banished, aren't hypocrites in any way or form, but rather, pragmatic individuals who know what is best for themselves and the people around them.
