Silly Mark
He should have went when UFC asked & got that big payday
Instead ...........

What do you mean?
Whinging and then going along with it in the end, he could of just done this from the start but instead he cried and cried and got no where.

He continually goes on about his safety but when the ufc do something about it he has a cry about it.

Obviously suffering from some brain damage of some sort.

Honestly I think he could pass that test.

Kiwi's and Samoans aren't build the same man.
All strong, thick & heavy boned humans being

Well, here comes the second case of a living person being diagnosed with CTE...

I agree 100%
I wasn't sure what you meant

Hunt: I don't care if Brock is on steroids
Hunt: I am suing because Brock was on steroids

Hunt: I have head injuries
Hunt: I have no head injuries
Hunt: I am going to see a specialist to see if I have head injuries

Love Hunto, but he needs a PR guy

I used to be a big Hunt fan until he started talking so much shit but hope everything turns out well bc that's a serious condition that I wish on nobody

What it comes down to. Hunt is unfiltered, which is why he comes out looking silly in a lot of these instances. Even though he may not be wrong, he seems out of touch.

Love Hunt though and hope he is healthy.

If he has CTE he should sue every fighter he fought who failed a PED test.

I feel he is very emotional and is the type of guy that can't hold the emotions in and his rants are just out there.

Always respect him as a fighter but my God..

Would be interesting to see the crackdown on PED users, past and present, if CTE pops up more frequently in fighters.

I'd say Hunt's actions alone are proof enough he's got brain trauma. No further testing is needed. lol.. poor guy... but he's become quite the nut lately... & like OP said, he could've done it back when the UFC offered it & been on last week's card.

Kind of makes you wonder if that was a cleaver way of ducking out of the event. Not saying he was scared... but maybe he was injured or something was f*cked & he just used this as a way out without him having to be the one to duck out. Kind of what Cain did last Dec. telling the media about his back problems.

Maybe, but his history of suing lends me to believe that he wanted to fight & then sue UFC for allowing a fighter that publicly said he has head trauma to fight.

Hunt has made a joke of himself and his career with his habitual complaints/demands....Publicly states he is suffering from CTE “like symptoms”,then is outraged when the UFC refuses to give him a fight. Embarrassing.

I'd wager most fighters have some sort of form of brain damage. Hunt should've just kept his yap shut and none of this would've happened. I like Hunt but damn the dude is his own worst enemy more often than not.

You think there is even a shot he doesn't have cte. Him Fedor, Hendo, Wand, coture, Lidell, etc likley all have cte. .

I'm 99% sure he has CTE. We're close to being able to diagnose CTE to living persons (I believe the first one was done recently), traditionally only done postmortem. Problem is, it's good being able to know whether an individual has it or not, BUT...there's no known treatment for it, outside of stopping further damage, and treating current symptoms as best as possible. In other words, it's safe to assume he has it, and there's nothing they can do to make him "better". This visit to the Vegas specialist looks proactive, but it's like pissing in the rain, imo.

Makes for an interesting argument/case. Lot's of variables. The realities though are non PED users can cause just as much brain trauma to a person as PED users. It actually doesn't take a lot of force to cause CTE, continued exposure to blunt force trauma seems to be the big one...it's kinda like blaming guns for mass shootings. A variable? Yes, even possibly a big one (debatable), but certainly not the "cause".

In reality, any fighters, trainers, sparring partners, training routines, etc that caused trauma to Hunt's brain would be culpable. Human's were simply not designed to take such damage...no matter how well they appear.

I've been saying for a while now, CTE is the elephant in the room, not only for MMA, but boxing, Football...any activity that causes the brain such duress.
