How would you genuinely score Ponzi vs Platinum Mike Perry under Pride rules?

Perry wouldn't have lasted for the 10 minute first round in Pride. Needs some cardio work if he really wants to hang with the Top 10

Good God man. No. Just no.

Yes, Perry has bigger power, did some damage, rocked him a couple times, showed a granite chin, and generally acquitted himself well.

HOWEVER, starting in the second round (and it's not like Ponzi did nothing in the first) Ponzi started to land big power shots with increasing frequency, already having found major success with the jab and leg kicks previous to that, and culminating in a spinning backfist knockdown (that counts) in addition to getting the better of basically all grappling exchanges. He clearly won the fight, under any rules you want to apply.

Pride scoring rules were dumb as hell. They gave Nog a fight over Ricco because he went for some submissions while getting his ass beat. Having effort to finish the fight be the #1 criteria overriding all the others is even stupider than when the unified rules defined effective striking as landing the greater number of strikes. Ponzi wins clearly under any remotely sensible scoring system.
