    No, not Invicta.
I’m talking UFC-established women fighters. If they went to an all women UFC (WUFC).

Everything else the same as UFC but all cards would be UFC WMMA.

What kind of numbers do you think they’d do? PPV, tv viewers, pay.

I wonder sometimes if the women in the UFC are riding on the men’s coattails. I honestly think they’d get barely anything if they went on their own. And that’s even with all of the exposure they’ve gotten from being on cards I don’t think they belonged on.

To be honest I don't think they would do that good in terms of PPV/views. Would be good to see though.

And yeah, a lot of people don't understand that Invicta is basically like a developmental league for WMMA.

I think they called that the WEC. And apparently it did well enough for the UFC to absorb them.

well bearing in mind the biggest viewing fox cards over the last few years have all been headlined by WMMA they would do ok

but like the mens divisions, they suffer from a lack of talent once you move outside the rankings and with only three divisions that would be an issue

Why do folk think the UFC have taken a 100 females onto the roster, to keep the feminazis happy?

I check out academic papers on wmma now and again and aside from some love for Fallon Fox and a few mentions of Rousey there's no interest at all, don't think its on their radar.

No the UFC is in the wmma business because it makes money. If the current success falters they'll cut back.

They'd do about as well compared to the men as WNBA does compared to the NBA (i.e. crap that would wither and die without massive subsidies like the NBA gives the WNBA).

There's been decades of research done and people (men and women) just don't generally like women in most sports, especially combat sports. The only women sports with fans are those that are either sexualized (like volleyball, tennis and occasionally track-and-field) or rely primarily on grace (like gymnastics and figure skating and to a lesser extent diving/swiming).

At this time, they would do about the same as MUFC (Manlet UFC). Mighty Mouse and TJ get about 100k-115k PPV buys right?

But back in the Rousey days of course, her PPV fights would easily outsell all of the UFC's other cards until McGregor came along.

IF, and that's a huge IF, Rose and Joanna can put on another memorable fight and start working on their media relations like Rousey did, they may be able to combine to be half as good as Rousey, which would be the 500k buyrate (longshot ceiling).

After them, Valentina, Nunez, Cyborg might be able to hit the 300k level IF everything falls into place and they dominate their divisions and do well with the media.

So basically, right now, WUFC wouldn't fair well (just 100k PPV buy rate I think), but if enough luck fall into place, they can hit the 300k level.

Unless Rousey comes back and somehow miraculous dominates again. Then they will be selling 1 million+ and WUFC would do better than the UFC since McGregor is about done.

WUFC would be bankrupt in 3 months. Or maybe not seeing as they hardly pay them anything. Now I'm not sure.

The UFC is successful in large part because fighting reduces rather than increases separations. When two fighters face off in the octagon one can see their skill sets versus each other regardless of distinctions like latino or caucasian, man or woman, agnostic or christian, gay or straight etc. I suppose one could start their own league of whatever one prefers but it might not be as successful as you might think.

WMMA has helped the UFC appeal to a broader range of viewers. People who are integral to its success across spending demographics that advertisers want to reach. The UFC more often than not has excellent matchups between fighters. I love the spectrum of fighters and enjoy most every fight. That includes good men fights and good women fights.
