How to properly hyperlink?

What's the proper way to hyperlink an article? For example, If I want to link a fighter's Tapology or Fight Finder page, how do I make it so that instead of the full long link, it appears as just the fighter's name?

Copy the link, type the name then highlight the name & click the insert link button(to the right of the font button).

Insert & ya good to go.
