.25 to a pound per week I'd say. Everything else is probably water and fat.
I'm asking in total, not just muscle mass.
If im being meticulous i gain 0.25 to 0.5
If im just gorging, 1 to 2lbs. I put on 20lbs once in a span of 5 weeks eating lile a damned ravenous animal. It wasnt lean but it did its job.
Naturally: usually about .5 lbs
On gear: 2-3 lbs
put on 20 pounds last year, so like that much.
I've managed 1-2 pounds per week but it was a huge mistake.
Try to aim for 1 pound per 2 weeks IMO.
Depends what stage you are at but the 2-4lb a month range would be optimal. Lower end of the spectrum of you are nearing your genetic limitations.
