How much power did/does Nick Diaz have in his hands?

He has a decent amount of power, the thing is that he just doesn't throw that hard on purpose because it conserves energy to throw weaker shots. He doesn't throw very fast or hard, but this actually helps be more accurate believe it or not. It's hard to explain this way why that is, but it's true. It also helps you take counter punches a little better too because you aren't overextending and it gives you more time to react to incoming shots.

He throws a lot of his punches not very quickly but he still gets the same reaction from opponents as if he was throwing quick and hard punches. It still forces his opponent to move and put a lot of effort into defending while Nick is wasting less energy with his slower, not super hard shots at them. He has great cardio and he's doing everything he can to conserve energy and his opponent is still basically fighting at 100% speed and power, so they always slow down and he doesn't.

He notices them starting to tire and picks up the pace, that's when he starts throwing harder and quicker, and eventually TKO's them because they either can't take the beating anymore or the ref stops it. His power is underrated because he doesn't throw all that hard on purpose, he mixes weaker shots with harder shots very well. We've seen he can KO an opponent or hurt them with one punch very many times though.

He doesn't have that one punch power like we've seen with Woodley, Lawler, Hendricks and Perry, etc, but he did one punch Robbie, hurt Scott Smith with pretty bad with one punch (counter right hook if I remember correctly), hurt Zaromskis with an uppercut, etc. He does have good power. It's not murderous power but it's enough. Here come the idiots saying he's pillowfisted and a shitty fighter 'cause he hasn't won a UFC title and only lost to top guys in the last however many years, top guys that barely anybody can beat.

His punching power is underrated, it's enough to hurt you and get the job done.
