After the weigh ins, how much do fighters weigh when they enter the octagon after they've rehydrated etc.

Could anyone give me examples such as Weidman (who looks like a big middleweight), he weighs 84 kg during weigh ins but how much does he weigh when entering the octagon?

Depends on the fighter. I'd say it's a safe bet that the average fighter weighs 15-20 pounds heavier on fight day than when they weighed in.

It's hard to tell exactly unless the fighters are weighed before they step into the cage or a fighter tells us how much he or she weighs 24 hours after the weigh ins.

Typically 15-20 lbs. Could be more though. I heard Honda is around 185 at fight time.

Mighty Mouse said he weighed 140 on fight day.
Aldo 161
Lombard 186
Woodley 195
Weidman 208

It's wrong that fighters use medically risky methods (such as severe dehydration) to fight in weight classes well below their natural weights. It's also unfair to other fighters unwilling to take those risks. MMA sanctioning bodies should assign each fighter to a weight class where dangerous cuts are not necessary. This would remove from contention some fighters who rely hard cuts and then show up 15lbs heavier than their opponent, but so what - the best fighters naturally in each weight class would contend.

How sanctioning bodies would select the weight class for a given fighter would initially be based on a combination of medical exam, a fighter's history, and averages for fighters of the pertaining height range. Later, a fighter might be permitted to move down depending on similar considerations, but it will become more common for fighters to be moved up, either by choice, or by mandate if they ever fail to make their assigned minimum.

So, under this system, for example, Barao would not be allowed to fight at bantamweight.

Woodley puts 24 pounds on in a day? Is that possible for a WW? Not saying you're wrong, but thats a hell of a lot.

Rogan constanly says "Woodley is as big as you can get for a WW." If Barao can ad 24lbs..Woodley sure as hell can.

Hendricks weighs 195 come fight day as well. He once posted a pic of it. So it is certainly possible.

some of this figures seem far-fetched. It is better to think in percentage of bodyweight instead of in absolute number of pounds. Severe dehydration starts at 10% loss of body mass in water, but there is an onset of important symptoms at as early as 5%.

How much water do they drink in those 24h, must be even more than those 15-20lb... Probaly during the fight they feel urge to pee all the time haha.

Hardy was the first of really upsized WW's coming into the cage around 195lbs. When GSP fought BJ and GSP was considered a big WW compared to BJ and Hughes, he was in cage regularly around 185-7lbs. Alves at that time was the big WW usually around 190-2lbs. GSP struggled to get to and maintain 190lbs which seemed to be his functional ceiling.

Now the big WW come in to the cage around 194-6lb range.

Fighter are cutting 10-15% of weight, 10% is pretty normal and safe, 15% is rather extreme

Depending on the fighter you can re-hydrate up 10-15lbs or more the body just absorbs all that it as been denied for weeks.
