Ever since the B sample came back positive, we have not heard much from either USADA or Jones. At this point all they can do really is try to get a lighter sentence. They already changed the fight to a NC, and DC has been reinstated as champ. 4 years is what you are supposed to get for anabolics, but he also has the previous violation, which might make it worse.

Will Jones ever return? How many years will he be gone?

It has to be at least 4 years. If not, the system is a joke.

The standard for second offence under USADA for turinabol is 4 years

only way he gets reductions is genuine case of tainted supplement, and even then if its not a supplement he listed on his doping control form hes going to struggle to get much of a reduction based on his history.

right now i would guess its going to be closer to 4 than 1

hopefully for the rest of his life, they should just put him in prison. there's never been a more unlikable mma champion than him

Two years. He could get three, but I see two, given his career.

But this was only his first violation of a PED. USADA bought his cialis viagra dick pills excuse the first time. What is the minimum sentence? I want this cheater to actually fight clean and get what he deserves.

no they didnt. an arbitration panel (not usada) still suspended him for one year

this is his second violation

and theres no minimum as such, its not a range, its a starting point of 4 years for a second offence where the second offence involves a steroid (the substance in the first offence becomes irrelevant).

then there is room for reduction based on "degree of fault". To what extent he is responsible for the substance entering his system.

If they rule he had no way whatsoever of either knowing or preventing the substance entering his body (for instance if it was in tap water) he could get a 100% reduction. If he could provide a supplement from a reputable brand, that looks totally innocent that was contaminated, he could potentially get a 75% reduction (so a one year suspension). If, like in his first case he tries to blame a supplement he took from a teammate without questioning what it was or what was in it, then he is unlikely to get a reduction at all.

in his first hearing the starting point was a year (the maximum for that particular substance) and he received no reduction for degree of fault.

if he was to get no reduction for degree of fault this time he would face four years

I can't imagine him fighting in the UFC again. Does the UFC really want to watch him beat up a champ and then have to give the belt back again?

Hopefully WME will correct Zuffa's terrible decision of hiring USADA and he will be reinstated promptly.

He'll get off on tainted supps
Fights on the New Years card

His first fight back from a suspension. They better give him the max

When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.
