I dont follow boxing much. Tyrone was on of my fav kickboxer back in 2013-2014.

I remember him kinda cross training with Pedro Diaz at the end of his glory fights. After the leg break he went into boxing full time.

Just wondering how he is doing. I saw some clips on youtube and his instagram.

But can someone give me a solid utdate? That would be great.

Thanks.

Hes undefeated still. Think he's 12-0 dont Think he's really going to go far though too old and competition is too good. I imagine he's just using his name value in mma for boxing bouts so it's not too pretty career wise and all the guys he's fought have had pretty mixed records. He needs to step it up then maybe we could see where hes at.

Just out of interest if youre into mma you should see Fabio Maldonados boxing record.. up til a few weeks ago he was 26-0

I saw a video recently posted somewhere on Sherdog showing Spong working with Floyd Sr maybe 10 years ago, though I can't find anything when I google their names together.

^His last two fights, defending a small regional title.

He obviously won't ever challenge for a world title, because he's not skilled enough and too old now to catch up to the others. It'd be cool though to see him against name heavyweights but he isn't being moved very quickly either.

Holy shit. Fucking lol.

It's gross, probably paid them off, Filip Hrgovic at 6-0 shoud be ranked above him. At least Hrgovic has fought a top 75 HW in Mansour
Its the wbo i just seen. It is gross. Lol.

Woah lol. Then Kyotaro at no.6 as another former kickboxer. Kyotaro's been boxing for awhile now but his biggest wins are still the ones against the blown up former middleweight Ishida four-ish years ago, which he probably deserved to lose on the scorecards. Kyotaro and Spong would've had much better prospects when Parker had the WBO strap, as fights with Joshua clearly aren't going to happen for them.

<mma4>

Thats more impressive that i expected

He's a tremendous talent, but needs a new promoter. With so much $ going into boxing, PBC/Top Rank/DAZN should definitely pick him up.

His best opponent was an aging CW (fighting in the first HW bout of his career) whose claim to fame was being cannon fodder against good CWs. It's hard to see him doing a lot of note in boxing considering his age and mediocre durability.

Thanks for the info guys. Kinda wondering what his long term goals are.

Maybe he just happy doing boxing and see how far he can go. Who knows.

I doubt he got a goal to climb all the way to the top.

He got great power in both hands. And good instinct and timing. But converting into boxing this late into a long fighting career.. I dont know..

He will always be kinda stiff in his movement, compared to guy who started out in pure boxing.

Tyrone Spong is defending him WBC Latin heavyweight title against Andy Ruiz (31-1) THIS FRIDAY 21 December.

Ruiz' only loss is a majority decision loss to Joseph Parker when challenging for the WBO belt.

Big step up for Spong. Who do you think will take this.

I guess Ruiz is winning a regional title Friday.

He has a Latino title, I think wbo Latino hw belt
