How is Amanda Nunes' English still so bad?

Cyborg's english is similar and she is in USA like 10 last years plus american citizenship.
 
Nina explains alot to Amanda using a simple but usually effective method of rock, paper, scissors. The problem is though they both always go for the scissors..

Irrelevant, if I had lived in Brazil for 5-6 years with a Brazillian girlfriend and worked with other Brazillians I would be very disappointed if my Portuguese was as bad as her English
 
I actually really like the broken English with a Portuguese accent on a girl.

It's cute as hell.
 
her english is decent. it's her accent that is really bad lol.

English is a hard, not too logical, and annoying difficult language for people from other more elaborate and logical or simpler languages.

True but she is a far from C1 but obviously not A2. She like a B1 of some sort with a good understanding but with a poor grammar very poor. Beyond just a word, and tense mistakes.

how many American born men say things like

"U is hella dumb bruh"

her tense isn't any worse than a good portion of Americans
 
Why is this as a concept for a full thread so bad?

Like the question, it just IS.
 
Her voice and heavy accent makes it sound a lot worse than it is. But yeah I'd expect more from someone who has lived in the states for 5 years.

I dont a know i not american. But i know testing standards for European language common framework. I had met C2 english speakers, a C1 and others. And the native. She is not a C1 or really a B2. I think she a sound worse becsuse she got such bad accent. A high B1 is my guess for her speaking, and a B2 level of understanding. Her writing is probably complete shit though. But good listenikg usually mean good reading.

Her ugliness is more of an issue.

Her girlfriend speaks the Portuguese and Amanda keeps it all business with her coaches and never socialises with them as they don't connect on a spiritual level. Although she's lived in the states for five years she doesn't speak English well as she's big into Hinduism, so when she's not fighting or being gay with her life partner she likes to practice yoga and transcendental meditation. She's a quiet meditative soul, an introvert really. Perhaps as she continues on her journey she'll come out of herself more and improve her English.

Seriously, I have no clue. Its a troubling question.

If you read my post this is not the point I'm raising. My point is thatthere has been no noticeable improvement in her English over the past few years despite her seemingly being fully immersed in the American culture and lifestyle
 
The only English she hears is muffled while she's being muffled
