How have expectations sunk so low for Conor McGregor?

Dude's considering a "gangsta" for throwing an illegal knee to prevent Khabib from fucking him up.

It's hilarious.

I saw him get praised for throwing a dolly at a window on a bus full of fighters who were making weight.

Guy folds like a deck chair when under pressure, literally said he "pussied out" in his documentary then continued to talk shit and his retarded fans love it.

So gangsta.
What's your obsession with 'gangsta'?

And I'm saying if you mount absolutely no offense in a fight, you were dominated.
Bullshit. All Khabib did in that fight was spamming takedowns. It's meaningless when you don't get it.It might have got him an aggression point but saying Khabib dominated Tibau when most media members scored for Tibau is just dumb

Lol, yup, everyone beats conor
*nods sarcastically*

So glad we can all agree that all of mcgregors opponents have been shit except Khabib who finally exposed him and the whole ufc roster for average they are.
Lol, fml.

I sense a lot of booty pain from your post. Read it again, buddy.

Conor's only winnable fights at LW that could also restore some hype to his image

In other words, the top opponents whose names can help restore some hype for Conor is Poirier. Nate is a big name, but Conor beating him won't bring the hype back, because Nate just came off of a split decision lost to Conor.

Likewise, Conor can fight Eddie Alvarez, a top LW, again, but a win over Alvarez at this point does nothing to bring back the hype.

Remind me again what Tibau did?

He was a stone cold killer but I'm not overly convinced in that narrative.
He's a natural FW, Conor is a natural LW.

But, bringing up aldos lack of a shot by the ufc, inactivity and hard balling with the ufc will do that.
That's why I said my original comment about khabibs current actions regarding lack of remorse and trying to hard ball the ufc at the same time amidst all the drama not so bright.
I feel his lawyer and manager are horribly misguiding him.
Calling someone a natural LW when they've never failed to make FW on weigh-in day is intentionally disregarding the rules of MMA. It's even worse than people calling Khabib a natural WW even though he doesn't seem to have issues making 155 ever since he got himself a nutritionist. Weight cutting is part of the game, everyone does it.

If we forget the hype, I am a big mcgregor fan but I have said myself that the ideal scenario for him as a fighter and for his chances to regain the belt - would be to drop down the ladder and get a cpl wins and some confidence back...
As you said - poirer, nate, Alverez then maybe fergy, aldo or Holloway.

Unfortunately, I don't think he intends on hanging around that long and will just try to do a smash and grab - maybe like Khabib if he can or something like fergy.
He'll save diaz as the banker and cash out.. Imo

Conor moved up after they banned iv hydrating.
Holloway has suspected brain damage partly due to weight cutting.
Khabib has missed weights, had catch weight bouts, been hospitalised and most recently said he was having seizures two days before the fight.

Stay ignorant to it if you want but I think my comments are fair.

Has got nothing to do with ignorance. I never said it was healthy, did I? Just that all these people have abided the rules to make weight for a certain weight class. I don't support weight cutting but as long as we have it, you don't get to cherry pick.

Please suck my cornhole? You can’t just say stuff and pretend you’re right. Conor is 1 max is 2 Aldo is 3 by default. Questions? Raise your hand bitch

You sound upset pumpkin, if you think your boy has a better body of work than Max or Aldo, you can troll all day. Enjoy the yellows and your photoshopped Conor porn.

Ye sorry, had about 9 diff convos going on an some of them heated...

I get what you're saying but I personally find it reasonable to assume the fighters as fighters in the wrong weight class when they're causing themselves brain damage and kidney failure to make a weight class that's clearly too low.
It shouldnt take someone to miss weight a cpl times to be forced up lol, the organisation is a baby, providing it stays on the professional platform for long enough, it will become more professional and relevant steps will be made to correct this.

Watch in 25 years, we'll look at fighters we once watched and cheered on and struggle to understand a sentence.... We are already part way there with Diaz and Holloway, let's wait till they're in their fifties and commissions will clamp down.

As i said, i'm gonna say next for McG is Nate at 165lbs in Feb or March, and then after that a monstrous PPV which is McGregor vs Georges St Pierre. I noted a few days ago Conor was in an interview with Ariel Helwani and he started talking about fighting Anderson Silva !! Now...Anderson has only ever fought at 185 and 205 (as far as i know), so.....even if they did a catch-weight at 180lbs, that is a big step-up in weight for McG.

The fact that McG is even talking about fighting Anderson Silva says to me he will continue to, ahh, gain weight / muscle and I don't think he will fight at 155lbs again. It's always fun to see what is next!

Wow, Conor fans are getting desperate and trying to accuse Khabib of taking PEDs in hopes of restoring the destroyed image of their idol.

You lack reading comprehension. I never said anything of the sort.

Conor was losing to guys on the regional circuit at that age but that doesn't count because he was young; but Max losing to Conor is definitive :p

For the record I don't think Conor losing at that age means anything because he was still learning; but neither does beating Max at that age for the same reason. Neither was close to their prime at the time
I agree

What's your obsession with 'gangsta'?

Obsession? I've literally used the word less than 5 times on this forum and all of which were either today or yesterday.

What is it with you fucking retards on here? Never known a forum like it.

And the reason I've sarcastically called his behaviour "gangsta" an awfully obsessive 5 times now is because some other retard in the other thread I said it in labelled his cheating tactics in the Khabib fight as "gangsta".

People were talking like he was some badass hero for being gifted a title shot against the champion of his own division after 2 years of inactivity.

We've literally reached a point where people celebrate if he goes and parties, sells whisky, or if he wins a round in a fight where he gets destroyed.

Remember the days when he was the 2 weight world champ and supposed to become a GOAT?

The man is completely pissing away his prime and people are celebrating it.

he exceeded my expectations I never expected him to fight again after that bout with Mayweather. I really thought he would've retired and if he did come back it would've been in his mid 30's after he pissed all his money away.

FW goat, champ champ, signed to fight dos anjos(the guy pulled out with a sore foot lol)
Mendes, Porier, Holloway, Diaz, Alvarez, Aldo. Great resume. Most popular fighter ever. Richest mma fighter ever. Try harder salty boy

Being rich and popular doesn't mean he's goat: he didn't defended any title, stalled 2 divisions and went to boxing to lose and getting a paycheck.

True but Pettis isn't a very big LW either and there styles match well for an Aldo win, the timing could't have been better.

He probably wouldn't have had a long reign, guy's like Bendo, Cerrone, and the up and coming Lee's, tony's and of course Khabib would have all been tough match up's for him but I think the only one's I would 100% say he more than likely would have lost too are Tony and Cerrone (assuming he was as hesitant to throw kicks as he has been basically since the Zombie fight) because they are not only much bigger but also significantly taller and very well rounded.

I could have seen him beating Diaz and Alverez though, He likely could have finished Diaz assuming he threw the leg kicks.
