full contact kickboxing was popular until mid 80s, but how implode the sport? was in their own bc don't cause any interest to the american public? or was bc low kick kickboxing?

The shiny pants eventually blinded most of their hardcore fans.

all the shiny pants heroes got stomped when they fought elite competition and their legitimacy went down the drain.

MMA and K-1 stole their thunder in the early 90s. It still existed after then but it was never relevant in the same way.

I tried watching it on TV back in the 90's, just find it really boring compared to Muay Thai, MMA, K-1, etc.

Because they are a Franchise and not a League.

Just like MMA will die if UFC died.

If the Yankees died, baseball would still live on because of other franchises.

I think another reason besides k1 and mma taking over in the 90s, is that it didnt produce the product everyone expected... ie martial arts movie choreography.

because it sucked too much of their top fighters decided to get into acting instead the ISKA cashed in on a fad like the UFC is doing with MMA and burned itself out. MMA had nothing to do with its downfall the sport was already starting its decline long before MMA was even relevant.
