Historically, and considered generally, women have not engaged with athletics or physical training to anywhere near the same extent as men. Where warrioresses and female athletes are depicted, the level of physical training is notably less than that for men i.e. the Amazons of Ancient Greece.

The question is has a high level of physical training and participation in full contact activities been deliberately avoided by women due to a risk of it damaging their fertility: more specifically, their egg count, which is notably finite. For example, a blow to the ovaries could cause the loss of many eggs. Also, in terms of training, a very powerful thoracic diaphragm, such as is typically advantageous in athletics, may put excessive pressure on the ovaries and again result in the loss of eggs. Continuing on the basis of a pressure analysis, the many and varied positions of the body and limbs in athletics, and the forces they apply, may also put pressure on the ovaries and result in the loss of eggs.

From these considerations there arises the question of how does modern MMA training and competition affect a woman’s fertility?

I would assume they (Wiman) simply put thier eggs into a storage facility that specializes in that sort of thing and then they continue on with their careers
