How does Bellator afford to offer insane amounts to Chuck/Mirko?

It doesn’t make sense to me.

And you’d think at a time like this where UFC is screwing with fighter money that Bellator would take advantage but instead they go fill the roster with 40-50 year old fighters.

Chuck and Mirko are much bigger names than the fighters UFC are willing to let go.

There under contract they can only go after certain dudes, and the reality is,ufc is mma, there are only a couple of guys worth
    paying for.

Your acting like there are several Mousasi/Rory level guys to be acquired. Who do you want them to get? Please enlighten us what moves "make sense" to you.

Ask Affliction how that turned out

I think Tim Sylvia was making 750,000 at the time

I didn't even know Betator had an event this past Friday. So, the people, who are hoping for the UFC to die, can go to hell. Because, I love UFC MMA, and if the UFC dies, I think MMA will die with it. LOL

This may sound like a stupid move on Belator's part, however i can guarantee that my wife who mockingly refers to MMA as gay porn when i'm watching could pick both Chuck and Cro-Cop out of a police lineup every single time and i know for fact the last thing she would say is: "Aren't they too old to be fighting"?

Seems dumb on it's face but it'll probably draw well enough and sadly, this will get 10X's more promotion than anything the UFC will be putting out.

Fedor is probably not coming cheap either.

as sad as it is to say...I bet way fewer people are tuning in to Bellator for quality guys like Rory and Gegard compared to Kimbo-Dada, Royce-Ken, Chael-Tito, etc.

those types of contracts got the SF owners, besides Coker, antsy about low profits. Paramount has deep pockets but it doesnt seem feasible.

The Ufc is loosing traction to Bellator because they are using named fighters in the promotions and are willing to pay for the talent! www.thegymlombard.com

Affliction was at least paying fighters who were in their prime. God damn, those two cards were legendary.
