Saw an article about this again today, with the Olympics going on and all.

What are your thoughts on this? I know theres a lot of gitter dun hunters on this forum that love to kill them animals. Should dogs be held to a higher standard?

This personally gets my blood boiling.

I have a puppy and a few days I ordered Chinese and took the pup with me, as I was leaving this woman said aw look at the doggie and I said yeah they're giving them away I can't believe it.

I kept walking laughing as she looked stunned and confused

As far as this thread goes, anyone who kills and eats a dog should he shot on site.

I hate to be a dick but Asians of all kinds are sorta known for not giving a fuck about animals in general. Shark fins, dolphins, rhino horns, etc. They just don't give a fuck, so why would they care about dogs?

eh, I love dogs but I'm not going to get worked up if another culture eats them for food as long as they are reasonably humane during the butchering.

TBH, if I was abroad and someone offered me some dog meat, I might try it just to see what it's like at least once.

You should post the article. It's a dying market from what I can tell. Most people around my age and younger have never eaten it. It's getting harder to find places where they serve dog meat.
I'm personally against for how they tend to treat the animals. Plus it doesn't taste that great anyway.

Pigs are smarter than dogs. Where's the outrage machine for killing and eating them?

I was going to give you an honest answer...

...but then I considered the potential consequences.

I wouldn't eat dog unless I had no other options, but if other people want to eat dog who am I to tell them it's wrong? I've eaten a wide range of animal species from large mammals down to insects, I have no room to criticize.

After the missus and me get back from the abortion clinic we plan on writing a strongly worded letter showing our disproval for such practices.

I'm ok with it as long as they're somewhat ethically killed.

There are other animals that are smarter and/or have stronger family and social bonds than dogs (pigs, cows, ducks) and we torture them and slaughter them and eat them and no one bats an eye.

Just because it's weird for us doesn't mean it's wrong.

I don't personally care for the practice, but what the Koreans do is for Korean people to decide
