How come Conors mind games didn't work on Floyd?

Normally when something is copied the original material is better. That is most definitely not the case here. If he was copying Floyd he would have made a career out of taking the easiest and least risky fights possible.

Conor went in to Floyds own house and took a shit in it.

He then invited Floyd over and the boy wanted no part of it.

Floyd won the boxing match conor won the war.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

Must help you sleep at night.

Because

A. Floyd been there, done that.

B. He was fucking bum compared to the guys that Floyd has fought.

C. Floyd has never fought with too much emotion

Probably because it was a 49-0 boxer versus an 0-0 amateur. Floyd had nothing to be concerned about, realistically. Even if Conor HAD somehow "gotten into his head", the skill gap between them is still way too large for it to matter.

Because Conor was careful not to trigger Floyd. If Floyd were not to show up, Conor would have been out of $100+ mln dollars.

It was not like Aldo and RDA situation where the opponent would just get replaced.

Conor was talking about money and fame that Floyd is comfortable with. He has never mentioned Floyd's inability to read, his yes-men and other sensitive topics.

Yet they worked on Aldo, Poirer and others

Different sport. Also huge gloves to hide behind, also bending over and sticking your ass out as a defensive strategy so ref resets thems. Floyd is a genius

Maybe they did, but the disparity in boxing skill was so vast it made no difference, whatsoever. Or maybe they didn't.

Keep in mind that Conor's games that "worked" worked on people in a discipline where he is one of the best.

Maybe Gary Kasparov was the king of mind games when it came to chess tournaments, but that doesn't mean his mind games would translate to a discipline like a combat sport, where he poses no threat and has no credibility.

Conor had no credibility, in terms of being a legitimate boxing threat.

Floyd looked shook at the weigh in imho. But still theres levels to the game, his mind games werent enough.

De La Hoya

Alvarez

Maidana
Pacquiao

Nice and easy fights over a 8 year span.

No wonder he dominated.

Sure.

At Floyd's age, he's seen it all and done it all.
Mind games don't work on people that have nothing lose.

It's almost like Floyd was in his 50th professional fight, which was itself after an 84-8 amateur record that included a bronze medal in the Olympics.

Like really, you're surprised the guy was composed? He was in his 142nd fight lol
