How come Conors mind games didn't work on Floyd?

Floyd can't even read. I don't think he'd be able to comprehend any mind games.

Also, he's a trillion times better boxer than Conor.
 
Well they did to a certain extent but he also wasn't prepared for the whole WWE style speech crap they made him do. There's not much Conor could say, now if Floyd decided to fight Conor in MMA... Conor would ruin him mentally lol.
 
Because Mayweather has been in the business a long time and he is famous for shit talking himself.

this is so fucking pathetic. conor made more losing to floyd than he has in his entire ufc career, many times more. floyd beat him as a 40 year old man who had already been retired 2 years. one paycheck as the b-side to floyd and conor's career and life completely fell apart because he couldnt even cope with it. he earned a fraction of what floyd did and it wasnt even floyds biggest paycheque. conor got a cheque and spazzed out and got stripped, whereas floyd has always kept earning and kept winning. floyd in undefeated and conor hasnt lost once, not twice, not three times, he has lost FOUR TIMES.

I would imagine that kind of thing wouldn't work on any elite fighter who knows he has an absolutely massive skill advantage over his opponent who only just screams in his face, let alone someone with Floyd's resume. Plus, ain't nothing Floyd hadn't seen before.
 
First, Floyd is not exactly the brightest and Nate Diaz beat Conor too so maybe there's a pattern of dumb people not falling for Conor's mind games.
That being said, shit talking opponents can hardly be called mind games and it's not some sort of witchcraft.
 
Floyd fought and beat the best boxers in the world for almost 20 years. And he did it as the biggest draw in combat sports. Why would trash talk from an amateur boxer bother him? Especially considering much of Conor's shtick was taken from Floyd.
 
Even if Conor got into his head, there's nothing Conor could have done to make up for the thirty odd years of experience that Floyd has over him. It'd be like trying to get into the head of someone with a gun when you're unarmed.
 
Props to Floyd and he also ate Conor’s punches like a champ. There’s a reason why he’s on top
 
Besides the massive gap in skill, Floyd has done this plenty of times. Its no big deal to him. He also has some of the most mental toughness you will ever see in an athlete. Anyone who follows both boxing and MMA could tell you Floyds mental advantage was almost as big of a gap as the boxing skills advantage
