How Come A-Level Sports Allow IVs But USADA Doesn't?

They banned IVs because they want to restrain the fighters from doing too aggressive weight cutting, which is a form of performance enhancement.

IMHO, weight cutting in fighting sports especially in MMA, still goes way too bloody far. Banning IVs was the right thing to do because it restricted the more extreme weight cutting. But there is still much to do.

Enough with fighters doing crazy things to get into weight classes they arent supposed to fight in.

If you are too weak to fight in your normal weight division, GTFO of UFC, simple as that.

As for testing only twice (before camp and after camp), I think random testing at all times really scares the PED users and I have no idea why you would want to stop that. Only reason is to risk having PED athletes, period.

USADA is an excellent step in the right direction.
I want a god damn clean sport. Its starting to be that right now. We need even more.

Yes, they should be allowed to use PEDs, no restriction. Why not? I want to see better athletes competing. I am pro-science and technology.

Strong definition of what sport is supposed to be about.

I would say it was ok for developed part of mma,but it was bad for wmma, because there was only two weight classes, they should add 125 lbs division right after they planned to ban IV's.
Miesha was first victim of this ban imo, was totally drained against Nunes, not like she would win with IV but still.
Then you got Nunes pulling out from UFC 213 because of weight cut, and she was kinda trying to get IV in hospital. UFC 215 she was very carefull to not gass out.
Dunno about Joanna, but imo she was dehydrated during UFC 217, not like Rose was not able to win against her, but Joanna's durability and performance was very suspicious and could relate to bad weight cut.
So IV ban was ok, but still I think it kinda damaged wmma part of UFC, without 125 lbs division and without developed 145 lbs division. Miesha just retired and some girls don't fight that often.

You make a good point, though I would have preferred they don't compete at all instead of trying to get into the weight class with IVs. I just don't think being able to cut 20+lbs is good for the sport. Anyway you are right, they just needed more weight classes. But remember, women's MMA barely just took off in past 5 years really.

well according to sherdog USADA doesn't test for cocaine, oh wait they do

Far as I know they do not test for it outside of competition, as it is not banned out of competition. JBJ had the tests done by accident, and then leaked. If what I remember is correct at least.Same as weed, they do not test out of competition.

If it was up to me I'd have specialist doctors overseeing the PED use and administering the PEDs. That would be the safest way to go about it.

I want these guys to be the best fighters they can be. With more steroids we will have more fights and better fighters.

These guys are already putting their bodies on the line. Extra testosterone will only help.

lol ts didnt think before making a thread.... come on broooooooooooooo

"A-Level" sports barely drug test at all.
