I did read through it. I wouldn't quite call that "authorizing it," more like we cut a deal to not prosecute them in exchange for the data gathered from the research.

While I do think that's still fucked up, by that point the damage had been done and could not be undone. I could understand how the US government, under the circumstances, might find the information more valuable than seeing a handful of dudes hang.

Gotta be one of the most American of qualities: Partake in the shit, benefit from the shit, while somehow simultaneously convincing ourselves that we are morally above said shit. Well done, my fellow citizen.

I believe you dodged my point completely.

I also think you're simplifying matters to a ridiculous degree.

I think some things are that simple. I respect your difference of opinion on this matter though. I'm also being a bit tongue-in-cheek. I realize I'm no better.

    I'll put it this way:

If the information they were able to gather was able in some way to give the United States a strategic advantage, improve national security, more solidly secure our place as the leading international power etc, then it may have made sense for our government to make the decision it did.

After all, like I said, in a situation like this you can't undo the damage. You can't bring people back from the dead, restore their ravaged bodies, un-rape the women, etc. What's done is done.

    Slippery slope my friend.

If anyone in this world needed a hangin', it was those demons.

Because people suck. Not all of them, but enough to make the world feel like a shitty place sometimes.

yo no joke, for some reason when i was 10ish? for some god damn reason my mom got a documentary on the horrors of japanese experimentation, i'm pretty sure it was this group.

One thing i will remember is the fucking nitrogen freeze, they froze this persons hands and then broke it, terminator 2 style... why!!!, what the fuck does that do? and btw, all the movies that depict nitrogen freezing limbs then breaking, nope they got it wrong, it's actually more like chalk, at least i think, at least from memory...

I honestly feel like I am destined to help animals and it's gonna happen soon. My job is a major setback for that but I'm gonna try my hardest. Humans can be so cruel.

I just can't. Not even the ones where the little fluffers end up healthy and in loving families.

It does not look like a river to me. More like a dried up artificial channel, like I see in Los Angeles when I go there.
