Opinion How Big Of An Issue Is The Liberal/Democrat Monopoly on Media/Education/Entertainment (Hollywood)

I think there is a liberal monopoly on entertainment, but I don't see it in education or news.

In news, writing is pretty well split, conservatives dominate talk radio, and liberals dominate TV.

In education for every Cal-Berkeley, there is a Liberty University.

I do however see corporate dominance in all 3. Funny how the worst of the R's and D's seem to agree on trade and immigration.
 
Non-issue. This is a free capitalist country. Nothing is stopping people from starting conservative media outlets or setting up conservative leaning schools.
 
Not really that much of an issue in terms of affecting peoples lives. Its an issue in terms of creative content and quality though because there are times when liberal virtue signaling is all that is needed to get praise. As a guy who does care about cinema and animation and other creative mediums it does bug me that certain archetypes or story lines are preferred because they project the "right" agenda.

When it comes to creative content I want diversity. Not "diversity" in the form of "brown actress plays girl power archetype" but something like 13 Assassins, where I'm sucked into a world that is nothing like what I'll ever experience in my daily life.

Actually, there are plenty of ways people analyze and understand ratings, including things like what I mentioned. For instance, the second choice of viewers of certain programs. If a network is very low in order of preference among non-watchers but high in ratings, then you can be essentially certain that it's audience division. This is exactly what happened with Trump in the primaries.

I take it you don't know much about these things though, so I probably won't spend my time explaining it.

Show me data that says the viewers of CNN are not the same viewers of MSNBC. The fox audience is bigger. You can try and split hairs to fit your narrative, but Fox does much better, and has for years. I don't understand your Trump compsrison. Your inferences are still relying on an assumption. I'm not trying to insult you, im curious.

Or, you can assault the messanger and not the message. That'll prove your point.


And what about other forms of media? Conservative talk radio shows have always done significantly better in their number of listeners.

When the main character said his hands were trembling from excitement at the possibility of dying in battle I knew I was in for a great time.
 
More and more people are waking up to the fact that Hollywood and the MSM are nothing more than an outlet for the democrats to push their agenda on the masses using film, tv, and news.

I loved the slow build and the philosophical musing of the first half of the film. It really set the stage for a meaningful conflict.
