Here's the reason why Stipe Miocic Took the belt from Dana and gave it to his coach

I agree with this...ngannue is far more promotable than stipe is...While stipe is a dam good fighter...he has very little charisma...
I think if he keeps the same attitude he had in the cage after the win and at the press conference a lot more people will get behind him, as it kinda throws off a real life Austin (Stipe) vs McMahon (Dana) vibe.

indeed, Rogan is no stranger to hyperbole...and he has explicitly admitted it too lol

I don't know why people hate him for that though. he not only works for UFC, he is a genuine fan and gets emotionally invested just like many of us do. Rogan is plenty critical too...he is far from what I would call a 'shill' for the UFC.

yeah, the nootropics stuff... I'm glad he has settled down about it for the most part. Being a part-owner of Onnit, he isn't exactly unbiased. at least there is some research backing up some of their stuff, but until there are larger scale studies that demonstrate long-term efficacy and safety, with results that have been replicated by independent researchers, etc...I'll take a pass.

hate is a strong word. yes rogan is by far the best UFC announcer. I dislike his conspiracy and pseudoscience aspects. he is great at explaining fights to people who are not familiar with MMA.

him and that redban or whatever talking about dick pills was pretty funny too.

honestly i dont think Joe gets enough hate. i get promotion is based on lies and hyperbole but Joe has taken it too far. he might be reading a script sometimes but oftentimes he is ad libbing on his own and saying ridiculous shit.

i know it is his job but the UFC should be going for legitimacy at this point not theatre.

or it will become another WWE. The UFC and WWE have similar revenues right now, so if WWE cant grow on bullshit why does WME think the UFC can grow by feeding bullshit?

exactly, he also shills out on his podcast, and he's not getting paid to read off a script on his podcast.

It's almost impossible to dislike Stipe. However, I will say that I hope he gets out of the game soon. The guy has been punchy for a while, and his slurring speech is getting to the point where it's difficult to understand him.
He's definitely changed. 3 fights ago he spoke quite weirdly but I understood everything, now there are constantly stuff I miss when he speaks, super slurry. I hope he retires after the next fight.

Love how so many people are hailing Stipe as some sort of anti-authoritarian hero when in reality he just made the UFC a pile of money while being paid less than %4 of their nights' earnings. Go Stipe!!

I understand it on a business side. I dont like it but I get it. There are a ton of ways to properly promote Stipe but the UFC just doesnt want to do it. Stipe is easy to root for and had a murderous road to get to the title shot. He has every right to be pissed that his boss doesnt wanna respect that.

Sorry, can't be a fan of this guy. He sounds retarded/slow half of the time.

And of course Dana doesn't like him. The promotion side is almost 100% the responsibility of the fighter. Dana doesn't get anyone over. Dana has been doing the same thing hes been doing for 15 years; giving someone a platform to fight and promote themselves on. It's not like we're talking about Pride who could figure out how to draw money with practically anybody.

Stipe is the man... Stick it to Dana. We all know they wanted Ngannou to win. Had the look and knockout power to make them money. Now it is time to pay Stipe what he is worth...

Stipe is also one of the few fighters on roster with an actual job......that can pay the bills.......medical insurance.......and a pension.

Name another full-time working fighter that has a job of that caliber? And I meant top-tier fighter.

Carwin's the only one I can think of. He was a hydraulic engineer iirc.

This is why I love Stipe. People always talk about the Diaz brothers being badasses and stuff like that, and they are, but seriously, how can you not say that someone like Stipe isn't a total badass himself? The guy didn't get on the mic, or shoot his mouth off in a bunch of pre-fight interviews about being disrespected when he clearly was, he just got in the gym worked his ass off and showed up on fight night and handled his damn shit! He's totally blue collar and a throwback to when men were men and handled their shit without complaining or the fanfare of a bunch of sycophants. WAR STIPE!
<mma4>

I'm curious...they say he's defended the heavyweight title more than anyone in history....don't they mean anyone in the ufc....didn't Fedor defend his title for 10 years?

They pretend nothing outside the UFC ever happened. Like DC saying Cain and Stipe are the greatest HWs ever. Right..........

Yeah, and after the old guard retire, eg Werdum, Reem, etc, they will probably never mention Pride or Strikeforce again.

It's definitely on now if you didn't think it was before..

It should be no secret Dana wanted Stipe out of there, that is why they sent Francis after him and now that Stipe got the "w" and snatched the belt out of Dana's hand, the Baldfather is gonna be hell bent on trying to take Miocic down

Dana does NOT like Stipe one bit. I suspected this all started over contract negotiations and Dana really did dog Stipe out at the first press conference. "Oh yeah, Stipe could set the record, BUT LOOK AT THIS GUY! He hits like a Ford Escort and a sledge hammer!"

It didn't seem to take long after the belt incident post fight that Dana had already concocted a new master plan of sicking Cormier, all-around company man who SHOULD'VE sued the UFC for allowing Jon Jones to kick his melon off nuclear off tbol, after him

Dana wants Stipe out of there. To him, he's not a sell. He doesn't talk trash, act brash or cocky, is a boring midwestern guy, and they want the strap out of his hands.

I think Stipe drug Francis to deep waters and didn't finish him on purpose just to piss Dana and WME off. It seemed to work, judging from Dana's face during the fight

It's complete bs. Here we have a guy on a tear, doing exactly what he's supposed to, being a model fighter and even someone people can be proud of, being disrespected by the UFC and not promoted.

I'm riding with Stipe 100% and I hope he keeps shoving the UFC's shit down their throat and making no apologies.

Use it to your advantage. Dana is a dick and most fans hate him.. Talk more shit about him..

Dana is a fight promoter.
Stipe is hard to promote.
Dana likes Conor because Conor has the "it" factor and doesn't need promoting.
Ngannou has a great back story and seems like a very cool guy.
Nothing against Stipe, but business is about making money.
Plus, the UFC needs to eventually crack Africa.
Newsflash, Africa isn't a huge demographic market for potential revenues. They want more Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Stipe has been knocking out everyone too. He is very marketable to me. Fireman and HW champ. He is a blue collar peoples champ type..
