They're not really portraying her as the hottest piece of ass on the street, but as the only unclaimed piece of ass on the street. An unclaimed piece of ass that knows the game, makes money that could be going into their pockets and somehow never seems to be around when the bang bus comes around.

But Maggie is also a Producer on the show, so maybe I'm wrong and she's pushing her droppy dog looks on the masses.
 
Watched the first two episodes and I liked it...don't get it why many guys have that best ever or it's garbage attitude about tv shows.

The most popular prostitute isn't necessarily the best looking one. Yes, men are more attracted strictly to looks than women, but women's "game" can still apply. There's a famous whore named Air Force Amy who is/was probably the highest-paid legal whore in Nevada/US. Personally, I don't find her all that attractive, but she's a great hustler. To this day, she still makes more money than younger, prettier pros. From what I've seen of the show, Maggie's character has pretty good game.

The actress is attractive, but she's in her late-30s. She's way too old to be playing a college kid. Franco is only a few years older than she is. There would be a better disparity between them if they had hired a younger actress.

Tom Hardy in Legend?



Anyone familiar with UK accents will tell you that Hardy's "Ronnie" eastenders accent is fucking spot, and a tough mimic. Then in contrast to the much more common eastender accent with the higher, nasal reggie

It's a solid performance despite the film's bad writing

It's way more clunky than the wire was -- but still has the Simon grittiness and attention to detail.

There's an obvious long game being played with the multiple views on the emergence of the porn industry in NYC during the 70's and how various entrepreneurial minded people will approach it -- hope it continues the wire approach of slow rolling to a solid season end pay off.

Really interested in the real estate / mob connection angle with Rudy and eventually the Gambino heads.
