Don't forget about the red head!
I know that girl. She posted to insta about going to the premier and was like oh shit did she book that show? I looked it up and there she was.

"Porn drama." HBO running out of ideas and not just using soft core porn as a feature but now a full blown story plot?
Its cheap. They've seen how some tits makes people not notice bad writing so they figure they'll just go full on porn.I don't see the problem. Boogie Nights was a "porn drama". There is some interesting material to explore within the era and subject matter.
I am wondering how far HBO is going to push it though. Wouldn't be surprised if they push the envelope a step further, and show a few hardcore scenes here and there.

The reason people are going to check this out and watch it is because of the word "porn."
They absolutely do, even on their good shows. How often is there nudity central to the plot? Pretty much never."Porn" would be in the title, if that was case. One of the creators of "The Wire" is working on this, so it's not like it's being done without a high creative pedigree behind it, either.
I think it's a more cheap, short sighted criticism to just boil it down to HBO wanting to show tits for ratings.

why does it have to be central to the plot? What if instead it is just part of the every day interactions of normal people and unlike in the more prudish past where it was left out, hinted at or hidden they now just show it because, why not? They absolutely do, even on their good shows. As said above, people will check it out because it's David Simon's (The Wire) new show. If you're too prudish for the subject matter, may I suggest some wholesome sitcoms such as The Big Bang Theory or Everybody Loves Raymond?
Kind of funny how America is such an embarrassingly conservative country when it comes to nudity and sex yet is the mecca of porn and has no qualms about watching ultra-violent media.
